Snap Other Pages: Overview |

Pokémon Snap is an N64 photography game starring that kid you may remember from the TV series, you know, Snap, well it looks like Nintendo didn't like that name so his new name is Todd. Todd the photographer has to travel round different locations and take pictures of wild Pokémon.

Todd travels round in a vehicle called 'Zero One', a yellow car thing. You have no control of the path it takes until later in the game. As you travel around with your camera you can see wild Pokémon doing everyday things, (for a Pokémon, not a human- so no ironing). You only get 64 exposures per trip. At the end of your trip you receive marks from Professor Oak in his lab. You get a higher mark if the Pokémon is in the centre of the picture, in a special pose, or if there are other Pokémon around it.

Some of the rarer Pokémon, like Kabuto and Pinsir, to capture these on film you have to take pictures of certain things first.

To help take a picture, you can throw various objects at the Pokémon, like a pester ball, which distracts the Pokémon.

With your favorite pictures you can save in a photo album. If you lived in America you'd be able to take them to Snap Stations in a Blockbuster video store and print out 16 of you favorite pictures for $3.
