You're A Star, Larvitar!
AshCo have stopped at a pokémon center at the base of Mt. Silver, where Ash is calling Professor Elm. Elm congratulates Ash on making it there and asks how Larvitar is doing. Ash points to Larvitar who is looking around at the pokémon center with a great amount of interest and curiosity. Elm is glad to see it has so much self-confidence and also notices how many people are there. Brock says that most of them are trainers competing in the Silver Conference or tourists heading up the mountain. Professor Elm asks AshCo to go to the Pokémon Preservation Center and ask for a man named Mason before hanging up. A boy walks up to AshCo and, reasoning that Ash is heading toward the Silver Conference, challenges him to a battle. Pokémon! No time to question my moves…

The boy has waited until they get out to the battlefield behind the pokémon center until he tells AshCo his name, Satchel. Brock declares the match and Satchel’s first moved is to send out a magby. Ash looks it up in his pokédex and decides to fight fire with fire, so he chooses Cyndaquil. Misty wonders why he didn’t choose Totodile, but Satchel says that he likes Ash’s style. Satchel starts off with flamethrower, but Cyndaquil easily dodges and uses quick attack. Satchel gets a little nervous, but Ash orders a swift attack and a flamethrower. Satchel also orders a flamethrower and the two attacks appear to be even until Satchel tells Magby to turn up the heat to gain the upper hand. Ash orders Cyndaquil to use tackle, but Magby uses double team. Ash tells Cyndaquil to tackle one of them, but unfortunately it turns out to be the wrong one and Magby manages to win the match with dynamic punch. Ash rushes up to Cyndaquil to see if it’s okay and the two trainers congratulate each other on a well-fought battle. Satchel says that he wants his Magby to evolve and Ash asks why, as it’s already really powerful. Satchel says that while it is powerful, it will be facing evolved pokémon and there’s no escaping the fact that evolved pokémon have an advantage over un-evolved ones.

Ash is resting by the pool while Cyndaquil is taking a little nap in order to recover from the battle. He’s starting to have some self-doubt. He knows that Cyndaquil’s defensive power and speed are unmatched, but he wonders if it will be enough. He looks over at another trainer who’s training a Quailava, and, seeing how powerful it is, decides that he needs to do some more training before the Silver Conference.

Brock and Misty are enjoying their lunch when they see Ash walk by with all of his pokémon. He’s giving a coach-like motivational speech and Brock, Misty, and Larvitar wonder what’s going on.

JessieCo are spying on him from a distance. James and Meowth get exited about it, but Jessie points out all of the other pokémon that are preparing for the Silver Conference, so they plan to steal them all.

Ash tells Noctowl to work on dodging Pikachu’s attacks, Totodile and Cyndaquil will be practicing to make each other’s attacks more powerful, and Phanpy will be dodging Bayleef’s razor leaf. Misty comments on how much spirit Ash and his pokémon all have and Brock wonders if it has finally occurred to him that the Silver Conference is just around the corner. Togepi then notices that Larvitar is missing and Misty wonders if it wandered off somewhere.

And indeed it has. It comes across a voltorb, which gets the attention of a several trainers. They all notice Larvitar and one woman comments that it must be wild, as wild larvitar are common in this area. A burly looking man then decides that it wants to capture it, but his hopes are ruined when Misty and Brock come looking for it. A sudden wind saves any confusion, however, as it is so strong pokémon are starting to lift off the ground. Ash notices and tries to rescue Larvitar, but the winds are getting strong for him. He’s saved by Bayleef’s vine whip and Ash thinks that the wind is too strong to be a regular storm. Prepare for trouble, we’re here to inform/ and make it double, we’re the eye of the storm/ to protect the world from devastation/ to unite all peoples within our nation/ to denounce the evils of leaving well enough alone/ to extend our reach and make these pokémon our own/ rest is normal. Ash tells Cyndaquil to use flamethrower, but Meowth activates the vacuum again and sucks it up along with Ash. Larvitar somehow ends up on top of the vacuum. Brock and Misty decide to follow.

Meowth loads the pokémon up in a truck while Ash demands that Jessie untie him. She laughs and walks off, as the pokémon are all loaded up and ready to go. Who’s that pokémon!? It’s Entei!!

Larvitar bites a hole in the tire of the truck before JessieCo can drive off. It then digs underground before the truck can land on top of it. It comes up inside the cabin where Ash is.

Misty, Brock, and Satchel meet again in the middle of the forest with no luck finding AshCo. Brock says perhaps they shouldn’t have been looking for the balloon, as they might have had another way of escaping.

Jessie tells James and Meowth to fix the tire. Meanwhile Larvitar is chewing through the ropes that are holding Ash. Ash yells at Larvitar for taking such a big risk, but then thanks it when it starts to cry. Ash hides behind the cabin while James and Meowth change the tire and Jessie yells at them to hurry it up. He tells Larvitar to tell Magby and Cyndaquil to melt a hole in the glass container in which they’re being held. Larvitar uses dig to approach them and does as Ash says. Magby and Cyndaquil do so, but James and Meowth finish with the tire, worrying Ash. Larvitar, however, thinks fast and bites another hole in the tire. This time James and Meowth asks for her help, but she of course says no. Noctowl flies overhead and sees them.

It reports back to Misty, Brock, and Satchel.

The fire pokémon finally manage to burn a hole in the glass, allowing all of the pokémon to escape except for Cyndaquil, Magby, a quagsire, and a machamp. Quagsire gets stuck, so the three remaining pokémon push it out and crash outside. The noise gets the attention of JessieCo. The pokémon all hide inside the truck when Jessie goes to investigate and gets both Magby’s and Cyndaquil’s flamethrowers in her face. The pokémon use this opportunity to escape and Ash says that he’s taking them back to their rightful trainers. Jessie and James accuse him of being a thief, but Ash angrily points out that they stole the pokémon in the first place. JessieCo order Arbok and Wheezing to use bite and tackle, respectively, on Ash, but Noctowl arrives and tackles them out of the way. Misty, Brock, and Satchel arrive. Arbok uses poisons sting and Wheezing uses sludge, but Ash and Satchel counter with their pokémon’s flamethrowers. Ash then orders Phanpy’s tackle and Totodile’s flamethrower. JessieCo are really mad now, so Jessie throws Arbok towards Mabgy, who counters with dynamic punch. It then evolves. JessieCo get nervous and Jessie orders Arbok to use take down, while James just says, “Weezing, do anything”. Before it can get a chance to make a decision, Magmar uses flamethrower. Ash then blasts JessieCo off with Cyndaquil’s flamethrower. Satchel says that Ash’s Cyndaquil has gotten really strong and thanks Ash for saving his Magby, but Ash says that it was all Larvitar’s doing. All of the trainers are happy to be reunited with their pokémon. I’m on a master quest! Pokémon!

AshCo and Satchel part ways. Brock says that Satchel will be tough competition, but Ash is confident that he can defeat anyone. He says that his pokémon are powerful enough and he has to make sure that power is used in “all the right ways”. Brocks says that Ash will do well and they all head for the Preservation Center.
