Ash and Co are riding Lapras as per usual, when suddenly, a dark skinned Nurse Joy rows past, surprisingly quickly. As they�re all nosy gits, they decide to follow her and see where she was going in such a hurry. They arrive at a small island and see Nurse Joy�s canoe parked up. They decide to follow the footprints that have been left in the sand. They soon approach some rocks and lose the trail.

Suddenly, a huge Magikarp jumps out the water and lands beside them. It starts wriggling around wildly, when Nurse Joy suddenly appears. She tells the gang that all Magikarp needs is some Calcium. She walks over to Magikarp and feeds it some Calcium tablets, before picking it up and throwing it back into the water. Nurse Joy then explains to the group that she and Chansey travel around to various Islands that aren�t big enough to have Pokemon Center�s, helping the Pokemon. She then invites them all to lunch.

Later on, after dinner, the gang set off in canoes to help Nurse Joy and Chansey. Nurse Joy speeds ahead, and when they eventually catch up, they find her empty canoe in the middle of the sea. They start to panic, thinking she�s fallen in and drowned, when they suddenly see a pink thing floating around. They think it�s Chansey and go over to see... only to find out it�s Jigglypuff! They all quickly paddle away safely, when Nurse Joy suddenly swims up next to them. She explains she swam down to treat a Cloyster, but the current must have carried her away from her canoe. Nurse Joy offers to show Ash and Tracey how she treats the Pokemon underwater.

They all swim underwater to watch Nurse Joy treat a Shellder. Ash starts to run out of air, and so tries to surface. But he passes a Dewgong on the way, who tries to play with Ash (not in that sense you dirty child). Ash starts to drown, before Nurse Joy rescues him (damn!).

Back above the waves, Tracey asks Nurse Joy if she�d prefer to work in a Pokemon Center. Nurse Joy starts to tell them a story. One day when she was a little girl, she found a baby Magikarp on the beach, which was injured. She took it home with her and looked after it. Eventually when it was better, she set it free again. It was then, months later, that on a boat trip with her family she fell into the water. It was the same Magikarp she looked after that saved her. It was that day she explains, that she decided she would play more of a role in the life of helping Pokemon, and that the very Magikarp they met before was the one from in her story.

Despite the rain coming down heavily and dark clouds rolling the sky, Nurse Joy says she has to go out and look at some baby Seel. The gang (rather madly) decide to follow her. During their journey, the storm gets much worse. They fight their way to a tiny nearby island and wait until the storm blows over.

Watching from the depths of the ocean is Team Rocket. They decide to steal both Pikachu and Chansey. Meowth pushes a button on a remote control, and a missile fires out of the submarine. It hits the island and releases a net, trapping everyone! Nurse Joy is upset, and is worried about the baby Seel who need her. She tries to break the net but it�s no use.

Team Rocket appear and say their motto. They start to tease Ash and Co, when something suddenly crashes into the submarine. It�s Magikarp! Magikarp tries to break the metal of the submarine but it�s no use. Nurse Joy cries out to it, when Magikarp suddenly starts glowing, and evolves into Gyrados! With one swipe of its tail, Team Rocket are sent "Blasting Off Again!"

Gyrados starts rampaging towards the net. Ash cries out in worry, but Gyrados quickly stops and allows Nurse Joy to pet it. Gyrados breaks the net easily, and Nurse Joy hurries out towards the baby Seel. She informs Ash that the next island he should visit in Naval Island, and is home to the next of the Orange League Gyms! Ash and Co set off again on Lapras, with Ash getting excited about his next forthcoming gym battle.
