Thank You For Reading!

Some words from the series creator.Wow, that was one hell of a two week stint at Big Brother. I would like to personally issue a large thank you to everyone who has read my humble efforts and an especially big thank you for everyone who voted.
Few people know just how long the admins have wanted to do a Big Brother event for the site. Long before I joined the site a lot of code you have seen in action was actually in place. A pretty impressive feat of forward thinking to be honest.
I started planning this in a rather glamorous location aka a Travelodge in Manchester where I managed to think up all the characters I wanted to use so I could start sketching a basic plan on the train home… which was then lost and had to be rewritten from memory. Oops.
The biggest challenge was, as you can expect, was that I had to write everything either the day or the night before publication. I seriously had no idea who would go more than two days in advance so this was incredibly touch and go. I would basically have days where I was doing nothing but sitting in front of a PC and trying to squeeze every drop of creativity from my mind grapes… two weeks of this is very tiring and time consuming.
Also I would like to state for the record that this is the first time I have ever tried something remotely resembling role playing, fan fiction or scripting so I will always be proud of how this turned out.
For those who don’t believe the voting made any difference here is a table showing the numbers associated with every eviction:
|Pokémon||Eviction 1||Eviction 2||Eviction 3||Eviction 4||Eviction 5||Final Night|
For the record: I was so sure that Chimecho would win that I wrote up the final day with that in mind before Politoed pulled ahead just hours before eviction, thanks for keeping me on my toes guys.
Will this happen again? Who knows. Working solo on something as in depth as this really took it’s toll. But I would really like to see this pop up next year in a possibly shaken up format.
There is so much more I want to say... but I don't want to reveal the other housemates and tasks that did not make the final cut. I may need them.
Finally I would like to thank:
Jeroen – For coding the whole blasted thing and listening to me obsess about this for the last 2 months. I know it has not been easy but your support and discipline helped me write this instead of wallowing in joblessness. I love you so damned much and I know you are glad this is over.
Mike - Watching you write Pokemole was a humungous inspiration to me. By reading your stuff I was able to learn a lot about characters and how to inject a sense of humour in both appropriate and innapropriate places. Cheers mate, love you to pieces… just live in London so I don’t only see you twice a year :P.
Webbz - For being the first person to figure out I was doing this and as such being put in the position of being ranted at about writer’s block. Hehe sorry about that, I owe you a drink ^_^.
Audina – She didn’t even have a connection to the site before now. I’d like to thank her for supplying me with the Audina questions for the interviews as well as some of the more unusual housemate interactions (especially when Chimecho thinks Politoed is a zombie). I hope you stick around on the site and become an actual part of the community… and I owe you a brewery.
The rest of you – Thank you again for taking part, talking about it in IRC and on the boards. You helped make all this work worthwhile.
