Balmung
The name of the sword wielded by Siegfried in the Nibelungenlied, and the blade upon which the dragon Fafnir met his end. Because, shockingly, Excalibur is not the only legendary sword in the mythological canon of the human race, and because the only way I could be more sick and tired of hearing people call their sword-shaped Pokémon Excalibur was if I was in your position, Name Rater, and actually needed to give an opinion on it so that someone else could submit a new, and (hopefully) better nickname.

Killing thousands of bug Pokemon, because of my personal hate of all 3 shinies I own being bugs, you start to like naming this Pokemon after "Tonbogiri", meaning "Dragonfly cutter". It cut one that landed on it, and this was impressive compared to cutting other things for some reason

Excalibur
Whenever I use this pokemon it seems to annoy people. Then i remembered Excalibur from Soul Eater. Since they are both swords with a mind of their own, I decided to name him after Excalibur. (I know in the actual stories Excalibur was nothing but an all-powerful sword, but I'm referring to a specific Excalibur)
