Sakura

Ash, Misty and Brock first encounted Sakura Kimono and her Eevee in Ecruteak City. She is around Misty's age and has four sisters, which explains why she and Misty became such good friends. She wanted to see the world and asked if she could join the gang, and they agreed.

However, her sisters said she could only go if either Ash, Misty or Brock beat them all. Each sister had an evolution of Eevee - Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon and Umbreon. As the final round was about to go ahead Sakura called for the match to stop. She had decided to stay with her sisters and wished Ash and co. the best of luck.

After visiting Olivine City, Cianwood City and the Whirl Islands, our heroes stopped off in Ecruteak again, on the way to Mahogany Town. Misty told Ash and Brock she had received an email from Sakura and they were going to meet her again. She met them with a newly evolved Espeon. Later, she and Misty had a one-on-one Pokémon battle. Misty won thanks to her new Corsola.

After Team Rocket plotted to kidnap her sisters' Eevee evolution Pokémon, she and the gang joined forces to thwart them. When the drama was over Sakura announced she was ready to go on a Pokémon journey. Her sisters agreed as she had proven herself, beating Team Rocket. Misty offered that she could join them, but Sakura declined. Ash, Misty, Brock and the Kimono sisters waved her off as she headed for Violet City.
