Some Rumble 4 U.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

After more then half a year since it launched, the Wii U will be getting its first Pokemon game, in the form of the eShop exclusive (That's downloadable game to you and me) Pokemon Rumble U!

Released in Japan back in April and as well as being in lovely HD, this edition of the much loved Rumble spin off series has a feature you may recall Skylanders and Disney Infinity have used previously and that is figures. Using the Near Field Connection (NFC) on your Gamepad and special Pokemon Rumble U Figures, you can beam your chosen figures into the game. That's should be fun right? Should bring back sweet memories of the Transfer Pak when your Gameboy Pokemon could be beamed into battle on your TV screen. Ah, classic days...

...Right, those dates. Europe will see the game on their eShop on August 15th while it touches down on the American eShop 2 weeks later on August 29. The availability of the special figures has yet to be finalized for Europe, but participating Gamestop stores will supply the figures exclusively across America.

And hey, should kill a couple of months before X and Y are running wild throughout the world, right?
