Episode Reviews: Clefairy and the moonstone

This episode begins with Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu heading for Mt. Moon. Then they hear someone screaming for help! The run, to see a man in a lab coat being attacked by Zubats! Ash has Pikachu shock them, and they fly back into the cave. The guy introduces himself as Seymore the Scientist.

They go inside the cave, and Seymore shows them that someone has strung up lights throughout the cave, confusing all the Pokemon. Seymore says some stuff about the Moonstone, and how he believes all Pokemon are from space, and came here on it. Then, a Clefairy skips by! Ash is about to catch it, but Seymore says it is better to leave it here. The Clefairy turns a corner, then it screams! Er, sort of.

The others rush after it, to see it cornered by Meowth! Team Rocket appears, and say their lines, (Duh) Ash sends Butterfree and Brock sends a Zubat he caught before they went into the cave. Team Rocket sends Koffing and Ekans. Misty and Seymore have to watch Clefairy. Zubat and Butterfree use Whirlwind, and blow Team Rocket out of the cave.

Meanwhile, Clefairy is running away! Misty and Seymore rush to catch up. They all tumble into a stream. Then Meowth appears! Misty sends out Staryu, and it beats Meowth.

Trying to remember. . . Oh yeah! They all stop for a break. Brock feeds the Pokemon some of his special Pokemon food. Pikachu and Clefairy have a conversation, and then Clefairy jumps away. They all follow.

Clefairy leads them to another cave! They go inside, to see th Moonstone, surrounded by a ring of smaller stones. Clefairy puts the stone it was carrying in the ring, and the Moonstone begins to glow. Suddenly, dozens of Clefairy come, and start dancing around the Moonstone. Pikachu tells them, after some difficulty with translation, that the Clefairy pray to the Moonstone.

Then, of cpurse, Team Rocket appears! Ash and Brock fight them, but it was all a trick so Team Rocket could sneak off with the Moonstone! Brock has Onix follow them underground. Ash, Misty and Brock rush out. Seymore explains to the Clefairy that its their responsibilty to get the Moonstone back, because its sacred to them.

Meanwhile, Jessie, James and Meowth are sliding down Mt. Moon on the Moonstone. Then Onix blasts out of the ground in front of them. They hit it, and James has Koffing attack. They're both knocked out.

Clefairy! Dozens of Clefairy pop out of the hole where Onix came out, along with Seymore. They all face Team Rocket, and start waving their fingers, and saying Clefairy. Seymore says that they are going to use their Metronome attack, and he has never seen it before. Then, all the Clefairy stop, and start glowing. the ground cracks, and a beam of light shoots up. Team Rocket, the Clefairy, and the Moonstone are blasted up. All the Clefairy land unharmed, of course.

The Moonstone was shattered, apparently, and all the shards falls to earth. some of them touch some of the Clefairy, evolving them into Clefable!

So, Seymore says he is going to stay with the Clefairy, and Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu continue to Cerulean City.

On a sign they see on the way, a message is written.

Gary was here!

Ash is a loser!

So, Ash rushes ahead, trying to catch up with Gary.
