Episode Reviews: Ditto's Mysterious Mansion

This episode begins with it starting to rain. Ash and the others run, and see a house. They go in. No one seems to be there. One room looks like a theater.

Two Pikachus! Ash's Pikachu and a another seem to be mirroring each other. Misty picks up the Pikachu, but something is wrong with its face!

She drops it. Brock says maybe its a new kind. Ash wants to catch it. He has Pikachu shock it, and throws a Poké Ball, but its knocked away by another! Its some guy dressed like Ash, but with green hair. Brock says its a girl. Male intuition. She asks who he is, and Ash answers.

The girl says her name is Duplika, and this is the House of Imitae. Ash says that's like imitate. The other Pikachu turns into a Ditto! Misty pets it. It can turn into anything, but its face stays the same. Ash's Pokédex says its a Transform Pokémon, and the only power it has is Transform. Ash thinks that seems boring. Dulplika says everyone says that who doesn't know Ditto's real power.

Battle! On the stage. Duplika sends Ditto, and Ash sends Bulbasaur. Ditto turns into Bulbasaur. Ash's Bulbasaur uses Razor Leaf, and Ditto uses Vine Whip, knocking all the leaves away! Then it restrains Ash's Bulbasaur with Vine Whip! Ash gives up. Ditto turns back to a Ditto. Ash wonders how the real thing could have lost.

Lost of clothes! Duplika says she can imitate anyone with them. She goes through a rack, and when she comes out, she looks just like Nurse Joy! Then she dresses up like Officer Jenny! Brock says they're okay, but she doesn't capture the adult charm of the real Jenny and Joy. =) Then she looks just like Misty!

Ash is still upset about losing. He says he lost to a fake. Brock says Duplika must have a lot of knowledge. How else did she know to use Vine Whip? She must know the attacks of every Pokémon! Misty says she must study a lot, and would make a great Pokémon Master. Duplika says she doesn't want to, though. She wants to be a Ditto Master! And be a star!

I think this is a flashback. she and Ditto are on a stage, and there is a big audience. Duplika does some imitaions of some Pokémon, making the audience laugh. She says she started doing this because she liked to imitate Pokémon. Then Duplika says her Ditto will do some imitaions. she calls up a Machoke, and has Ditto transfrom. But its face stays the same! People in the audience start muttering. Duplika calls up a Voltorb, and Ditto transforms, but its face still stays the same! People in the audience start saying that it still has that dumb face, and it can't even transform right. Ditto gets upset, and uses Voltorb's Selfdestruct power, and explodes!

Duplika says people don't want to see an imperfect transformation. Suddenly, the lights go out! On the stage, its Team Rocket! They say their lines. Ash claps slowly and says that the show is over and to go home. Jessie says they're here to get the Ditto! Meowth grabs it, and Weezing fills the room with Smog. When it clears, they're gone!

We see a house with a Meowth head on top. Inside, we see Team Rocket and Ditto. Jessie says now Ditto is theirs! James says they finally won. Meowth says he'll be top cat again. Jessie says they have a favor to ask Ditto. They hold up a book with a picture of a Dratini, and tell Ditto to transform into it. It'll be a gift for the Boss. The three of them act it out, with Jessie as the Boss. She's sitting in a chair, petting Meowth, and James hands her a picture of a Dratini. Jessie talks like the Boss. =)

Jessie says they should have a little fun first. She shows a picture to Ditto and says to transform into what this person whould look like if he were an adult. James sees the picture, and its a little boy! Jessie says it was her first love. Ditto transforms into the picture, but its face is the same! James and Meowth laugh. Ditto licks Jessie's face. Jessie punches James and Meowth. Jessie tells Ditto to turn into the Dratini. It turns into the book, and with the same face! Jessie says it better, or she'll turn it into jelly. Ditto gets really scared.

Misty tells Duplika they'll help her find Ditto. They send Pidgeotto and Zubat to look. Ash still seems upset. He says something about how with Ditto, the trainer decides the powers and stuff. Its power and progress realte directly to the abilities of the trainer. Then, Pidgeotto and Zubat return. They've found Ditto! Duplika says she has an idea.

Ditto has tried to turn into Meowth, but still has the same face! Meowth says to get it right, or it will regret it! Ditto swirls around its face, and it looks like Meowth! It finally got it right! Then, the lights go out, and some spotlights go on. It Ash, Brock, Misty and Duplika dressed as Team Rocket! They say the lines, while Jessie and James get angry. When they're done, Ash and Misty see why they like saying that stuff all the time, its fun!

Jessie and James say if they're going to say it, get it right! Its unite all people within our nation, not ignite! =) Ash and the others want to get Ditto, but now it looks just like Meowth! Which one? Jessie says they have perfected it under their expert training. Duplika thanks them, and says that she's tried everything. Now Ditto can finally be the Pokémon is was meant to be! Jessie and James start crying, and Ash says they should solve this without a battle. Jessie and James they say that they'll just give her Ditto. They hand her one of the Meowths, the real one, obviously, and the walls of the house fall away, revealing their hot-air balloon. They take Ditto, and jump in, and start to fly away.

Duplika says to hold it right there! She knows it isn't Ditto. she throws Meowth at the balloon. Ditto bites Jessie's arm, and jumps to the ground. Duplika catches it. James says its time for Plan B, and a cannon comes from the bottom of the balloon! Duplika has Ditto transform into a cannon, too! Pikachu goes inside, and is fired at the balloon. Team Rocket fires a net from the cannon, and Pikachu flies towards it, and uses Thundershock, shocking Team Rocket, and popping the balloon.

Ditto turns back to normal, and Duplika hugs it. It transforms into a perfect copy of Pikachu! Ash says it did a great job. But which one is his Pikachu? Duplika says he needs to keep training. Duplika hugs her Ditto again.

Duplika finishes hammering a sign up. The Imitae House is back open! Ash and the others leave. Ash says Ditto is great, the power of all the Pokémon in one. He hopes he gets one someday.

We see Team Rocket, trying to get Meowth in a Dratini costume. Meowth says it'll never work on the boss, and scratches them. They get angry, and they start fighting, etc.
