Episode Reviews: The Kangaskhan kid

Who's that Pokémon? Not sure

Brock or Tracey? Brock!

The Safaro Zone! And its filled with lots of different Pokémon! Ash wants to catch some, but they might still be in the reserve. A Chancy pops up from behind a bush! Ash is about to throw a Poké Ball, but it turns out to be Officer Jenny! And she says they're under arrest for Pokémon poaching!

She takes them back to the station, and Ash explains they didn't know they were poaching. Jenny says she'll let them off with a warning. Something starts beeping. More poachers! Ash says he wants to help, so they all get into Jenny's jeep.

Team Rocket is watching a herd of Kangaskhan. They say their lines. then James fires a flare over them, startling them. Ash says they have to stop Team Rocket, but Jenny says they should run. The Kangaskhan are stampeding right towards them! Jenny speeds back in reverse, and turns, so they go past. Then James activates the net, which captures all the Kangaskhan! They're going to catch all of them in Poké balls. And Jenny over-heated the engine, they can't get there in time.

Someone watches from a tree. Jessie throws a Poké Ball, but a boomerang hits it, and hits Jessie in the face. A kid swings down on a vine, and cuts the net with his boomerang, talking like a Kangaskhan sometimes. He says something to them, and they all look at Team Rocket. then they surround the car they're in, and start hitting them to each other with their tails. A really big one hits them, and they go flying. The boy jumps into its pouch, and they leave.

Jenny hears something, a helipcopter! It lands, and a woman, and a very scary looking man come out. They say they've heard that their son Tommy is in the Safari Zone. Jenny says they can explain at the station.

There, they say how 5 years ago, when Tommy was three, they had taken him on a trip around the world. But, the father, supidly, dropped the kid from a helicopter. He parachuted to safety, but he disappeared. They've been looking for 5 years, but can't find him anywhere! The woman shows them a picture of the weird kid in the Kangaskhan's pouch. Jenny recognizes him as Tommo, and that his address in in the Safari Zone listings. Ash and the others asks to help.

Did I mention the father is really scary? Anyway, he and the mom are now being carried by Ash and the others, because the guy is in bad shape. They see a injured baby Kangaskhan, drop them, and rush over. Brock uses a Super Potion on it to heal it, but it stings, and it cries out. A boomerang flies towards him! He dodges, and it hits Ash. Tommo says Brock hurt the Kangaskhan, but Misty says Brock was trying to help it. Tommo asks if they are people or Pokémon.

The scary guy says they've found Tommy. He and the mom ask him to come home, but he doesn't remember them. Misty tells him to try to remember. Tommy has an image in his mind of a herd of Kangaskhan, and him in one's pouch. Its singing to him, and its a very haunting sound. One of the only good parts of this episode. Tommo gets angry, saying his mom is the Kangaskhan.

Then the dad hits him over the head, knocking him out. Did I mention he waa really stupid? Tommo has a dream of him as a baby, being held by his real mom. He wakes up, and recognizes her. The dad asks if he remembers him, and Misty hits him ove the head with a log, saying one memory at a time! The mom says they should go home now. Misty says its better if he lives with his real parents. Tommo gets confused, saying the Kangaskhan is his mom, but so is this lady! Jenny comes, saying the Kangaskhan are being poached again. Tommo jumps into the trees and runs off. Everyone else does. The mom says they should give up, but the man say's he's still their boy.

Its Team Rocket in a giant Kangaskhan robot! Jessie does an imitation of an injured one to get the others to come. The big one tries to stop the others from going, but they go anyway. James fires tranquilizers, putting them all to sleep. the big one tries attacking, but is also hit.

Tommo throws his boomerang at the robot, but its doesn't do much. Team Rocket has the robot use Rocket Punch, but Tommo dodges. Ash sends Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Bulbasaur wraps it with Vine Whip, and Squirtle uses Skull Bash. Tommo jumps up and starts hitting it with his boomerang. James powers it up, and it breaks free, and throws him off. Ash sends Pikachu and Charmander, and has Pikachu use Thundershock, and Charmander use Flamethrower. Tommo throws his boomerang, knocking the gas cap off. The fire hits the gas, setting th robot on fire!

Everyone gets into the jeep, and the robot is stil chasing them! Then, a helicopter starts zooming for the robot. Its Tommy's parents. they crash into the robot, and Team Rocket gets blasted off again. =)

Its a wreck. They sacrificed their lives to save their son. Tommy starts crying. Make him stop! Singing comes from the wreckage. Its his parents! Dressed in skins? They say that since Tommy loves the Kangaskhan so much, they'll stay with him here.

So Ash and the others leave. Tommy, his parents, and the Kangaskhan wave good-bye.
