Ah, you you’ve beaten the Elite Four. Okay, the Battle Tower and the Battle Frontier too? What’s this, you’ve messed up all your friends on Wi-Fi?
Well then, you need to be put in your place.
Every Sunday Night (Or we try to aim for it anyway) PKMN.NET holds quizzes based on Pokemon knowledge and parts of PKMN.NET history thrown around in the IRC chat room.(more on IRC here). Times aren’t really cemented but usually the 7-9 range we start. If anyone were to join after, they will be set into a team by the admins in choice of fairness.
But before you start, there are a few rundowns we should go over.
Usually, it’s not a free for all; there will be two or more teams. One way we do it is to voice everyone in team 1 to separatefrom team two. Both nominate a leader who will give the final answer and talk for the team, both teams have pre-made channels (#team1 #team2 to join type in ‘/join #team1’ on a IRC window.) In these channels the team will discuss what answer they want to give, or what level to choose in difficult, ultimately, the team captain will act as a spokesman.
Questions come in three tiers and are worth different points:
Joeno: Obscure questions, hence the name. (3 points)
Medium: Questions that take a bit on in-depth knowledge to know. (2 points.)Easy: Easy and boring. (1 point.)
The admins, who will not be taking part will ask questions from a pre-made list, divided into those questions, you have a minuet to discuss, which after you must give a final answer. If wrong, it will be passed to the next team who can get a point if they managed to answer it.
While fun and a relaxing time, there are rules to the trivia you must follow:
*PKMN.NET’s rules apply.
*Chit-chat must be done in the #pkmn.net channel.
*Do not blurt out answers if you are on the other team, you will be kicked for the rest of the night.
Remember, it’s a fun activity, make it fun and enjoyable, and no one likes a sore loser!
