Who's that Pokémon?
Togepi

Tonight on their adventure, Ash & Co. are passing through a place called Happy Town, tired and hungry. They spot a Pokémon Center and rush towards it, but it's locked. After knocking a few times the door is opened, hitting Ash, by a large pink Pokémon, identified by the PokéDex as Blissey. Noticing they're hungry, she drags them inside and cooks them some food. She soon arrives back carrying trays full of food and runs towards them. They tell her to slow down and be careful, but she carries of towards them. They try running out of the way, but Ash trips and Blissey crashes into him, covering him with all the food. As she leads him towards the shower, he assures her that he knows she was only trying to help, and that he will eat once he has washed up. While in the shower getting clean, Blissey opens the door wanting to know if there is anything she can do to help. He offers to let her scrub his back. Unfortunately for him, she does so with a floor brush, scrubbing his back red raw.

A little while later, treating Ash for his sore back, Blissey apologises again, but he tells her not to worry; he knows she didn't try to hurt him on purpose. He then asks her if she has anything she can put on his back. She come over with a tub, which everyone identifies as rubbing alcohol. She rubs it on the scratches on his back, causing him a great amount of pain.

After waking up from a little nap, Nurse Joy wanders through the Pokémon Center, looking for Blissey so she can ask her if anything happened while she was asleep. She opens the door to one room and is shocked to find Ash, covered head to toe in bandages.

A few minutes later, she apologises to him for all of the trouble Blissey caused, telling him that she only wants to help and that her heart really is in the right place. Brock agrees with her and tried to chat her up, only to be dragged away by Misty.

Later that night Ash lies awake in bed, complaining that he still didn't get anything to eat. Misty and Brock shout at him, reminding him that they are just has hungry as he is, but that they want to get some sleep.

In the bushes outside the Pokémon Center, Team Rocket are also hungry. They come up with the idea of breaking into the Pokémon Center and stealing both some food and some Pokémon at the same time.

They tunnel into the Pokémon Center, emerging in the cafeteria. Looking through the kitchen, all they can find is one parsnip. Jessie takes it, saying that they should divide it into three equal pieces, but Meowth snatches it away, saying he should have it as he was the one to find it. He runs off, followed by Jessie and James. Looking for Meowth, Jessie hears some footsteps down one of the corridors. She runs towards the sound, only to come face to face with Blissey. She tries to run away, but Blissey stops her, happily jumping up and down in front of her. She notices the necklace Blissey is wearing, and seemingly recognises the Pokémon. Addressing her as her old friend, she takes something out of her pocket; a piece of a necklace that fits perfectly with the other half around Blissey's neck.

A few minutes later, they sit at a table in the cafeteria talking opposite James and Meowth. James asks how the two know each other. She explains via flashback.

When she was younger she attempted to learn to become a Pokémon Nurse, but her application wasn't accepted. She picked up a leaflet for Pokémon Nurse School, saying that she can go there. She is told that it isn't the place for her, but she says that she will fit in anywhere. At Pokémon Nurse School, a school for Chansey to learn to become Pokémon Nurses, Jessie become good friends with a kind, if slightly clumsy young Chansey. She helps her out with her studying and practical lessons. The teacher was very hard on Jessie. One day, as all of the Chansey in her class graduate, Jessie left, giving up on her dream of becoming a Pokémon Nurse. Chansey tried to stop her, even trying to give Jessie her nurses cap, but Jessie wouldn't accept it. In the end, Chansey broke her own necklace in half, keeping the top half and giving Jessie the bottom one. They parted ways that day.

Back in the cafeteria, Jessie is telling Blissey that she knew she would one day evolve and become the kind of Pokémon Nurse she herself had always wanted to be. The story brings a tear to the eyes of James and Meowth. After hearing their stomachs grumbling, Blissey leads them to a stockroom filled with food. She begins piling boxes of food in front of them. Jessie asks if she is giving the food to them, which Blissey confirms. They put all of the food on a cart and take off with it.

The next morning, Ash & Co. are upset as there is hardly anything to eat. Nurse Joy asks Blissey if there is any food in the pantry, so Blissey leads her to the now empty room. Thinking the food must have been stolen, they go to review the security tapes, which show Blissey taking the food. Nurse Joy asks her what she did with the food, telling her that it could end her career as a Pokémon Nurse if she doesn't.

Spying on the Pokémon Center, Jessie is feeling guilty about getting Blissey into trouble. Meowth suggests just taking the food back, but Jessie tells him that it wouldn't explain why Blissey gave it to them in the first place. James comes up with the idea of making out that they tricked Blissey. Jessie asks if they is sure they don't mind helping, but they say they will do it for one of Jessie's few friends. Plus, it will enhance their criminal reputation.

They land outside the Pokémon Center and announce their arrival via megaphone. Ash & Co. rush outside as they recite their motto. Ash, already grumpy after having no food, gets very angry and shouts at them to return the food. Jessie tells them that they will return the food if they give them all of the Pokémon in the Pokémon Center. They refuse. Blissey comes to the door and, noticing Jessie, starts running over to her. Jessie quietly tells her to stay away, but she keeps coming. In an attempt not to destroy her friends reputation, Jessie sends out Arbok and Lickitung. She orders them to attack, injuring Blissey. She berates them, telling them that they weren't supposed to really hurt her. Blissey gets up and begins to walk towards Jessie again, who warns her to stay back or she will order her Pokémon to attack again. She orders Lickitung to use Slam on Blissey, lightly. Then orders Arbok to use Bite, carefully, but Blissey still keeps coming. Realising what she has to do, Jessie fires a small rocket at Blissey, missing but knocking her down. She then proceeds to taunt Ash into attacking them as Meowth grabs Pikachu with a pair of mechanical hands. Pikachu uses an electric attack, shocking the Trio. Ash & Co. rush over to Blissey to see if she’s alright. Nurse Joy apologises for doubting her. Blissey turns her head towards Jessie, who quietly shushes her whispering that it will be their secret. Getting really annoyed about not having eaten, Ash sends out Squirtle and Electabuzz. As Jessie orders her Pokémon to attack, Ash orders Pikachu to use Thunderbolt, shocking Arbok, and Chikorita to use Vine Whip, swinging Lickitung around and slamming it into the ground. He then orders Squirtle to use Water Gun, sending Team Rocket back to their balloon. As they attempt to escape, he orders Chikorita to use Razor Leaf, stopping them from taking the food with them and popping the balloon, sending them blasting off again. Ash & Co. are happy to have the food back, but Blissey just looks to the sky, thinking of Jessie

Later in the Pokémon Center, Ash & Co. are waiting for Blissey to cook them some food. She comes out of the kitchen, running towards them with the trays. They get ready to jump out of the way, but she carefully places them on the table. Thanking Blissey, they dig in.

And sat on their balloon's basket, in the sea, Team Rocket are still going hungry. Jessie however is just glad she had the chance to help out a friend.
