Trade Pokémon with the Pokémon Developers :: News

In a few days time, if you go to the Global Trading Station in Diamond and Pearl, you might be lucky enough to trade with the people who actually created the game you are playing.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

Three of the top people at Game Freak are putting up 90 Psyducks on to the Global Trading Station- all you need to do is trade them a Ponyta in return. Just head to the GTS between Sunday 26th August and Thursday 30th August (American time) and you might be in luck - there's no preference on gender and level.

This guy is Junichi Masuda, the Director of Game Freak (ID#05458). He looks like a man who enjoys posing for photos!

This is Ken Sugimori, the Art Director (ID#38793). Yeah, this is the bloke who drew the vast majority of the trading cards (or at least did in my day).

Battle Directory (whatever that means) Shigeki Morimoto (ID#53437) is a crazy chap - clearly angling for Junichi to give him a bonus by posing with all of the tat.

So yeah, if you want one of these people's Pokémon, you know what to do.
