More bonkers-that-works from Nintendo?

A Japanese newspaper has apparently revealed some details about the successor to the wonderful Wii, which may well be given the truly surprising and inspiring name, Wii 2.
Nikkei report that the console's controller will have a six-inch touch screen display built into it. This will not only allow iPad-like control of games, but also will also allow the controller to function as it's own portable gaming device!
In addition to the touch screen, the controller will have a built-in rechargeable battery and camera. This will apparently allow you to do all sorts of magical and fun things such as creating an avatar in a game, or... well... I'm sure there's something.
Sounds absolutely mental doesn't it? If true, have Nintendo done it yet again? Will this inspire cheap and gimmicky Playstation and Xbox add-ins in the future because Sony and Microsoft have no imagination themselves?
Either way, Nintendo are set to announce Project Cafe (as they're officially calling it for it) next week at E3! We're told to expect a mid to late 2012 release date, and I for one can't wait to see the full picture of what they've come up with.

mostly because Wiiii sounds hilarious Hmm, T-Pain's alternative to Auto-Tune sounds more exciting for E3 tbh... we'll see though These rumours are MONTHS old, I think Gamesmaster mentioned all these unconfirmed 'leaks' about 3 issues ago. And yes, Sony will steal any idea Nintendo comes up with... anyone remember the PS3 sixaxis controller? Suprisingly only came into existence shortly after the Wii was unveiled. Indeed these are only rumors, from what I've read elsewhere its a prediction made by a guy who apparently has a good track record of second guessing what nintendo are going to do. But not the truth my any means. it will be called the Wii Ni it will be called the Wii Tabix Cool I can't wait not long until E3 I wonder if we get a name.
