UPDATED! It seems that Daniel forgot to tell me this was only a rumour when I posted it, and didn't tell me all day. Anyway, click in if you want to see what we thought was true, but is not in the realms of the dubious.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

THIS IS ONlY A RUMOUR- WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS WHEN WE POSTED IT. SORRY.

"Advance Generation"- the TV series to reflect the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphrie games. These new games are full of changes, so one should have anticipated a bloomin' massive shock at the start of half term!

The series will be set in an "alternative universe". In other words, the first five series (Kanto, Orange and Johto) never happend. Ash is a new trainer again. He won't have his old Pokémon to keep him company- only a Pikachu. Brock will be there, but Misty won't. Her place in the alternative world is taken by Haruka, the female trainer from RS.

Also announced, is that Professor Oak will not be returning. Also suggested, is that because the "restarting" of the animé is based on RS, Team Rocket as we know and love them will not be there. However, this isn't confirmed either way. Perhaps they have joined Team Aqua or Magma?

All this change is being done to apparently revive the Pokémon animé and introduce new fans, who can't possibly catch up with all the past episodes. Does this also mean they'll be a better plot?
