What a lot of people consider to be Japans definitive gaming magazine, Famitsu, has reviewed Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire five days before it gets released over there. Also: Another new Pokémon revealed?

The Japanese press sure are lucky. Famitsu has already played through Pokémon RS and have reviewed it. You'll be pleased to know that it scored rather highly.

Oddly, the mark games out of 40, and Pokémon recieved 34/40. Broken down into the individual categories- thats 9,8,8,9- god knows what that means, though. It won RS the gold award.

According to Planet Gamecube, the reviewer mainly was praising the 2vs2 battles, things that have been fixed since RBYGSC and the addition of sub-missions. Now THAT sounds exiciting.

Perhaps more shockingly, Psythor has discovered what might be a new bat-like Pokémon. (EDIT: Everyone else says it's a Subame :P) Take a look at this picture from some sort of promotional event:
