The American Cartoon Network has dropped an episode of Pokémon from its schedules...because of a title.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

Tower of Terror- the episode that sees Ash and friends meet some Ghost Pokémon in a three storey high building and has an adventure there. There isn't really a reason to ban it, you may think.

Its been removed because of the title, "Tower of Terror"- its the classic "nine eleven" syndrome- anything remotely to do with violence/war/towers/aeroplanes.

This really is foolish- it may not be proper banning as its only been dropped from the schedule but this is pathetic. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is out soon. How odd.

The episode was due to air on the 10th December- it has instead been replaced with The Flame Pokémon-a-thon. It returns to Haunter Vs Kadabra the next day.

Probably unrelated- unless the Bin Laden tali-dance ending was ever released, Beauty and the Beach will also not be shown on the 3rd December. Tentacool and Tentacruel will be shown instead.

Only in America, folks.
