The 300th episode of the Pokémon television series will be aired in Japan on May 8th.

On May 8th 2003, hundreds of Japanese Pokémon fans will sit down to watch what will be the 300th episode Pokémon. Premiering on the TV Tokyo channel at 7pm (Japanese time), the landmark episode is titled 'Run Ash! Cross the Carvanha River!'

The episode will be part of the sixth season, Pokémon: Advanced, and should be shown in America and Britain next year. Strangely, it is only a week since the 300th episode of another popular show, The Simpsons, was shown in the UK on Sky One on Easter Monday.
