The game director of Game Freak, Junichi Masuda, wrote in his HIDDEN POWER of Masuda blog today that owners of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl will find "something different" in the games when they play this Saturday. What could he possibly mean?Well, lets guess anyway with some bets.
2/1 - An Event
10/1 - Drifloon Friday becomes Starly Saturday
250/1 - Something useful
1000/1 - Free Cow
1,000,000/1 - Wild Psythor
So, what do you think it could be? SPECULATE TIME!
12 January update: It turns out we know now. The snow in Snowpoint City changes to look different. It's pretty, but other than that... well, rather useless, to be honest.

Er, if it's something that's supposed to happen on this Saturday, would any of us be able to figure out what that is by just changing the clock to then? Not that I'D do it-- that's cheating.
Who am I kidding, though? It probably involves Wi-Fi or something... which I don't have ATM.
Mabye high level pokemon will appear in the wild...or all the evovlable pokemon that the npc trainers have will evovle...or a Wi-fi event involving sinnoh legendaries...
I hope its something cool... *must remember to play Pearl this Saturday*

Weird...checking online is one thing, but playing the game WITHOUT neccessarily going on Wifi? How long will it take hackers towork out what it is?

WIFI Mystery Gift! Probably an item to access a legendary... Or possibly an update or expanstion... if the DS is capable of that.
This is exactly the type of thing I was looking forward to when I heard this game had wifi.

Hey, wait a minute... wasn't Mr. Masuda a music director, too? It could be unique music throughout the game of some sort! I don't know about the rest of you, but that's something I'D like! =^D
O.o like old-skool styles of all the music! That would disappoint quite a few people, but I'd be happy with it! (and get out my tape recorder and record each song XP )
Hmm... music is possible... The game's memory could hold that information for a select date. It could be a colour warp... or they could flood the place with pokemon ground sprites... We won't know.
