Recognise this strange guy?

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

No you didn't imagine. The 20 year old student you saw on BBC1's The Weakest Link last night WAS PKMN.NET's very own Psythor!

This isn't the audience for Question Time is it?

We all watched in excitement. 100% of his questions answered correctly in the first round. 1/1! Psythor quickly progressed through the rounds, even being named strongest link at one stage!

Nobody told Nigel that "James" is merely an alias.

Highlights included Anne Robinson stating the internet must be uncomfortable with Psythor sat on it, and Psythor revealing in three years at University he has learnt that "some countries like each other and some hate each other".

Psythor demonstrating just one of his full range of facial expressions.

Yet despite being Weakest Link in the last 3 rounds...

... he emerged victorious!

We're just as surprised as you.

Congratulations James, we're really proud of you. Ish.

However, we do feel your general knowledge let you down in places, which is why we've compiled a list of all the questions you answered incorrectly throughout the show. Let's see if you know the answers readers! (that's assuming you didn't watch, in which case shame on you anyway)

  1. In the 1960 and 2001 film versions of Ocean's 11, the title character played by Frank Sinatra and George Clooney has what first name?
  2. In science, a hydrate is defined as a chemical compound that has molecules of which substance combined within it?

  5. In a 1950's US TV series which actor played the character Sargeant Bilko?
  6. In marine life, because of it's ability to change it's skin colour and pattern rapidly, the cuttlefish is sometimes referred to as the what of the sea?
  7. In the children's cartoon series Wacky Races, the inventor and driver of car number 3 was Professor Pat who?
  8. In Pop Music, the group called Was (Not Was) had a UK hit single in 1987 with a song entitled Walk the what?
  9. In which game played on a table do opponents attempt to direct the ball into the opposing goal by expelling air through a straw?
  10. In gardening, the grounds of Longleat House, Chatsworth and Blenheim Palace were all landscaped by which 18th century designer?
  11. In Geography, the town of Broadstairs where Charles Dickens wrote David Copperfield is in which English county?
  12. Which US politician wrote the 2007 book subtitled "How the Politics of Fear, Secrecy, and Blind Faith, Subvert Wise Decision Making, Degrade Democracy, and in peril America and the World?"
  13. Which British actor who starred in Love Actually and two of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, once described himself as the "Drinking woman's crumpet?"

Excitingly, for the next 6 days UK readers can watch Psythor's performance for themselves on the BBC iPlayer!
