Want a Victini? Your wish is granted.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

The most recent issue of MCV Magazine has revealed that Nintendo will be releasing the Liberty Pass over Wi-fi for residents of the UK, Australia and North America between the dates 4th March-22nd April of this year.

For those in the UK who are unable to get to a Wi-fi connection (remember there is always McDonalds) Nintendo will also be touring the country to disribute the Liberty Pass. Dates for the tour are not currently known but confirmed locations include:

Westfield, London
Silverburn Shopping Centre, Glasgow
The Metrocentre, Newcastle
The Bullring, Birmingham
The Centre, Milton Keynes

For those who do not know what the point of the Liberty Pass is it is the way (with the exception of an Action Replay which we a PKMN.NET do not encourage... bad gamers!) that you can get the legendary Pokémon Victini. For completion sake obviously...

Yay Victini! Kinda neat Pokemon, I'll be sure and pick one up.

It has a unique typing, I'll give it that. Does that make it a good typing? I don't know. 6 resistances and 5 weaknesses. But for the sake of completion, I wouldn't pass it up.

Have you actually had confirmation of Nintendo distributing the Liberty Pass at those locations? Because I don't believe that's what they're doing.

The shopping centre tour is a Black & White promotion and I don't see anywhere saying that the Liberty Pass will definitely be involved with this. To me, it's a completely separate event. It says the Liberty Pass will be available over Wi-Fi and at selected retailers - not shopping centres hosting their promotion.

In America, retailers will be distributing Celebi while this Black & White promotion tour is taking place. Ours will be something similar, though I believe we won't be getting to view the latest Pokémon film. I'm somewhat expecting Celebi to be the Pokémon given away there. If not, I fear for us UK fans as we may once again not get a Celebi Event for an entire generation.

We all know about the Crown Beasts Event in February, and then Victini starts in March. We won't get Celebi over Wi-Fi for this reason and I doubt Nintendo will back-track to generation 4 ever again with events once Victini happens. So, the only logical solution is we get Celebi at this tour, or we don't get it at all (which would be massively disappointing as it unlocks the Zorua Event, and we haven't had Celebi in the UK since 2002!)

And I just realized that the date you say it starts is March 4th. Why would they start it exactly on the very first release date of the English B&W games instead of waiting until everyone has it? Confusing, to say the least.
