Paras | Bassiana Named after the Beauveria Bassiana species of fungus, known for causing white muscardine disease. Unlike the 'mind controling' fungus that Paras was modeled after, white muscardine disease grows from the inside of the insect, killing it within a few days. From there, Beauveria bassiana mold grows on the outside of the insect. It is often used as a biological insecticide, as it can kill many common pests, like fire ants, termites, and grasshoppers.
