Umbreon	Iydrian It doesn't have any special meaning like "Oh in the night he creeps, because you know.. he's a umbreon. In the dark. Legit." I just happened to like how the name sounded. Umbreon	Massacre To begin, when i nickname a pokemon, i like to imagine it as a LIVING work of art, and not a couple of pixels in a gameboy.I like to see it hunting, eating fighting, just lik a wild animal. Umbreon is a night hunter, whose golden rings light up when leaping to attack it's prey, and sheds toxic sweat when agitated. It has everything to do with stealth. A ninja's best friend!. I want a nickname that will make umbreon sound like a killer, and not a moon kitten sent to earth to destroy evil dr. cotton candy. I also wanted a nickname that was 100% english, and not 2 words painfully squished together. In game, umbreon is no quick killer. The common strategy is to badly poison the enemy with 'toxic' and stall. Given umbreon's high defense and excelent stalling abilities, it can easily poison many enemies at a time, making them easy prey. Umbreon	Dust I didn't want to submit some ripoff. I named my new Umbreon in Pokémon Gold Dust. Because Umbreon is a black Pokémon. That made me think of dark places. And you often find dust in dark places. The first thing that popped into my mind was Dusty, but that sounds like a dog. Umbreon isn't a dog. Umbreon is way cooler. So I took the Y away and ta-dah! Umbreon	Nightfury I got the name from a book I was reading where the main characters are part of a team of shape shifting dragons and there team name is Nightfury. Seemed to me to fit umbreon. Umbreon	Nightwing Probably more of an ideal name for males, since Nightwing is Robin from his solo career of fighting crime. You're on your own for female names. Umbreon	Noctilux The name comes from two latin words; noctis- of the night, and lux-light. I picked the name because when "darkness falls, the rings on the body begin to glow".
