Claydol
Grimoire
Even though Claydol is not made of paper, Claydol is essentially a grimoire (a textbook of magic). Claydol, like a grimoire, was brought to existence by humans in the old ages. Both are also known to have a plethora of attacks that can be imagined of as spells. And likewise how a grimoire is magically protected, Claydol exudes a high Special Defense stat that can be thought of as its magical protection.

Landmind
It is a play on the word "landmine", as Claydol is capable of learning both Explosion and Self-Destruct. It is also a reference to Claydol's typing, with land referring to Ground and mind referring to Psychic.

Since he has four times more eyes (and this applies to brainpower as well, hence the fact that he himself has a rather low IQ, you know what I mean) he shall inflict a curse on you for perpetual eternity unless you rate this name within a day OR stop insulting people, you xxxx Name Rater!!!
