Delia Ketchum

Of course, the mother of the main character Ash Ketchum, she tends to embarass him sometimes but means well. She is always worrying about Ash, especially when he takes up his part time job of saving the world (see most of the movies).

She has her biggest role in Pokemon 3: The Movie. A young girl named Molly, a friend of the Ketchum's, has Entei kidnap her. It brainwashes Delia into thinking she is Molly's mother. When she sees Ash on television she remembers who he is.

Pokemon fans are often puzzled about where Ash's father is, Delia refers to him once during a phone coversation. Some suggest Delia may be more than just a friend to Prof. Oak. She has only one Pokemon, a Mr. Mime, named Mimie. It helps her out with the housework.
