Seasons :: Black and White Other Pages

Black and White are the first Pokémon games ever to include a full seasonal cycle. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are all represented within the games, and all have their own unique differences. Each real-time month is represented by a season within the game, so you get three chances to experience each season every year. Let's have a look at all of them!

Spring

Months: January/May/September
Morning: 5am-10am Day: 10am-5pm

Evening: 5pm-8pm Night: 8pm-5am

Cynthia is battleable in Undella Town
Caitlin and Shikimi are findable in Undella Town

Summer

Months: February/June/October
Morning: 4am-9am Day: 9am-7pm

Evening: 7pm-9pm Night: 9pm-4am

Cynthia is battleable in Undella Town
Aloe, Kamitsure and Furou are findable in Undella Town
A trainer in Undella Town will trade her Munchlax for a Cinccino

Autumn

Months: March/July/November
Morning: 5am-10am Day: 10am-5pm

Evening: 5pm-8pm Night: 8pm-5am

Winter

Months: April/August/December
Morning: 7am-11am Day: 11am-4pm

Evening: 4pm-7pm Night: 7pm-7am

You can no longer buy Casteliacone in Castelia City
Snowfall in both Twist Mountain and Icirrus City allow you to access previously unreachable areas

New Areas

As previously detailed, Winter in Unova allows you access to two new areas. Heavy snowfall on Twist Mountain and just North of Icirrus City (pictured right) allows you to climb to previously inaccessible areas. This allows you to find various items, the most distinctive being TM90.

Deerling, Sawsbuck and the Seasonal Institute

Generation V's most novelty Pokémon goes to Deerling and Sawsbuck - the Deer Pokémon which decides to change its appearance, just to emphasize the fact that Black and White have introduced seasons. Take each different form to the Seasonal Institute on Route 6 (Unova) and the Scientist will reward you with a not-very-exciting Leaf Stone.
