Ever since Generation II, swarms have played a big role in the games as a method of catching Pokémon either usually impossible to catch or extremely difficult to catch.
The swarms in Black and White first start to appear after you receive the National Dex and change randomly at midnight everyday. They could appear on any route in the game and all allow you to find new Pokémon not normally found in Unova.
To check for swarms you have to enter the gate that links two areas together and check the text running along the back wall. This will mention if there have been any Swarms spotted on the route you are about to enter.
I guess you'll want to know what Pokémon you can meet during these swarms then?
