Brock tries to catch Skitty but it jumps in his face. Max lures Skitty and it calms down. Then a boy enters the pokemon centre, complaining to keep things down. Max apologizes but soon Max and the boy start to fight. Then nurse Joy tells Max to quit it but they soon realise that there are two Max's. The one Max tells max to change his name but they start to fight. Nurse Joy calms them down and the older Max leaves the gym angrily. Nurse Joy asks Max to keep things quiet since Max always comes here to play with pokemon. But Brock assures nurse Joy that he will make things good between the two of them.

In the meanwhile, the other Max sits on a hill and stares. In the meanwhile, Team Rocket wakes up and they realise it's noon. James didn't set the right time but Jessie wonders why they had to set an alarm while they camp out in the forest. But James wants a routine otherwise their life would be useless. James is in a good mood and wants to catch Pikachu but then he says he has enough of everything and gets a depression but he desperately wants to catch Pikachu and to get a real life. In the meantime, Jessie and Meowth walk off to get some lunch.

May in the meantime feels great as she looks over the water. Max then tells her he is mad at that kid for having the same name as he does. May tells Max that nurse Joy wanted them to get along but Max says there's no chance. They then notice a Surskit and May scans it on the pokedex. The Surskit walks to the older Max and greets the Surskit and they are playing together. May notices Max but May's brother doesn't want to. But May asks if Max wants to see the Surskit or not and he does want to see it so May walks with max to the other Max. There the fighting imemdiately starts and the older Max wants Max to leave right away. May wants them to calm down and May is interested in his pokemon. Max tells that Surskit is cool but the other Max wants Max to stay away from Surskit. May tells Max to quit when both Max's are reacting to that. They fight once more when Brock and Ash appear. Ash tells it's really silly that they are still fighting. They start to fight again.

Team Rocket lures on them. They want the Surskit so they plan to catch it because they're sure that their boss will love to have one and then they'll become his favorite members.

Brock interrupts their fight and suggest to let all of the pokemon out so they can play together. The elder Max is amazed by the different pokemon and May introduces Skitty to all the other pokemon. Skitty starts to be hyperactive again and May wants to calm it down with the toy but it jumps on the rock and falls asleep which they all find really awkward.

In the meantime, Team Rocket are in the bushes and reveal themselves. Ash warns Pikachu but Team Rocket tells them they're not here for Pikachu but for Surskit. They do their motto and they walk past all of them to Surskit. Treecko needs to do quick attack but he misses. Pikachu fires a thunderbolt at Team Rocket but with a shock proof umbrella, the shocks reflect. Then Skitty awakes as Team Rocket charges at Surskit. Skitty jumps in Jessie's hair which angers Jessie. Skitty lets go as Team Rocket leaves. When Team Rocket's gone they also notice that Surksit is gone too and that he left at the other side of the river where they see water footprints.

The elder Max runs off and Ash and co decide that they will help Max finding his Surskit. In the forest, Max yells for his surskit but May and co follow him. They tell him that they want to help him find Surskit. Then Team Rocket appears again in a bulldozer and they order for a Surskit but they tell them it isn't here and that they scared him off. They then notice Jessie's weird hair and that it looks like a dust mob and they laugh, which angers Jessie. She punches a big mallet which blast Ash and co off.

May and Max land in a tree and the other Max is on the ground yelling at them. That they now where they are and that he knows the forest very well. They decide to look for Surskit as quick as they can. Max then says he wants to travel since it looks really fun. Ash and Brock in the meanwhile climb up a hill and Brock suggests that they should find the others as fast as they can and Ash sends out Taillow to do the job as Ash and co follow.

Team Rocket is now on the rampage, well actually Jessie is on the rampage. Meowth suggests to get that real life now like James suggested before. In the meanwhile, both Max tell each other that they were jealous of each other and they become friends. May comments that it was about time but then they notice Team Rocket. In the meantime, Ash and Brock look for May and co. May comments that Surskit is probably around the water so they look there but Team Rocket appears again behind them. Since Surskit isn't there Max asks if there is another water area and the elder Max replies saying that there is one in the deep forest and they leave.

In the middle of the forest they find Surskit and Max is happy to see it again adn they comment that this water has two different water levels. . May and Max are happy to see that the two friends are back together again. Then team Rocket appears again and jessie sends out Seviper and James sends out his cacnea which hugs James. May has enough but Max stops her and they want to battle which makes Jessie laugh as Taillow notices May and co. Jessie lets Seviper use poison tail which misses and Cacnea uses its pin missile but Surskit avoids it with his agility. Seviper then hits Surskit which makes Jessie happy but in the meantime Cacnea who had to use needle arm is in the water and starts to drown and James returns his cactus pokemon.

Seviper in the meantime frightens Surskit but May's brother Max thinks of a plan to break the rocks that make two different water levels. And Surskit breaks it by using water pulse and the rock breaks and Team Rocket is disappearing in the water. But Jessie walks out of the water like a monster which frightens James and Meowth. Jessie wants the Surskit and she fights over it with max. May sends out her Skitty which double slaps Jessie. Taillow and Ash and co are coming as Jessie becomes really mad as she wants Pikachu and Surskit both now. But Pikachu uses thunderbolt but they use their umbrella again. Surskit then uses bubblebeam along with the thunderbolt makes team Rocket blast off once again. Max comments that they're making a good team and everybody is happy that they're friends now.

At the pokemon centre, they say goodbye to Max and nurse Joy and Max and Max agree that they will have a battle one day and that Max wil find his own pokemon one day. They say goodbye as they leave for Fallarbor Town.
