This episode is essential viewing because: Ash and Lance stop the fight between Groudon and Kyogre.

The episode begins with a re-cap of what happened in the previous episode. The Narrator explains that Team Aqua and Team Magma were at war and both had the pokemon that the other team wanted- Team Aqua had Groudon, which Magma wanted and Magma had Kyogre which Aqua wanted. Team Rocket then went to capture Kyogre, by putting a net on it and shocking it with electricity. Kyogre woke up and escaped into the sea. Working undercover, as a member of Team Magma, was Lance, the Dragon trainer! Also, Ash and Pikachu were captured and Pikachu bonded with the Red Orb, was controlled by it and went crazy! Then the Narrator said, "Will Team Aqua's fiendish plan to destroy the world actually become recognised? And what will happen to Pikachu?"

Title Sequence

Team Magma and Team Aqua were all on the island. Archie decided to get into the Helicopter waiting for him at the top so he could control Kyogre. Shelley ordered the rest of Team Aqua to send out their walreins. "Protect Archie!" she demanded. The Walrein attacked Team Aqua with water guns. Team Magma then sent out their Mightyenas and Maxie ordered them to attack with Shadow Ball. Archie was on his way up to the top of the steps, turned around and said, "Kyogre, the world awaits!" Then the walrein attacked again with water guns and the mightyena were defeated. Before Maxie realised what had happened, he saw Archie in the helicoper, which had already gone! "Hey Maxie," shouted Archie: "I'm up here! No-one can stop me now!" Archie had the Red Orb in his hand. "Now, Kyogre. Wash the land into the sea!" He ordered, laughing villainously. Maxie then realised what would happen and shouted, "You fool! Do you know there are people on this Island as well as your own?" "Oh? So what!" he shouted. Shelley gasped and ordered everyone to get the walrein to safety. A boy from Magma ordered eveyone to round up the Mightyena as Kyogre whipped up storms and high waves.

Maxie decided to get into the Magma ship to stop Archie and ordered Lance to go with him. Then a storm hits the ship and Lance and Maxie fall out.

Meanwhile, Inside the wrecked Magma ship, Pikachu and Ash were trapped inside. Suddenly, Pikachu went possessed again and tried to shock Ash. Then it jumped outside through a small hole.

Archie was laughing villianously again, this time uncontrollably as Kyogre was whipping storms up. Lance pulled off his hood so everyone could see his face. He shouted, "No! Stop, before it's too late!" He then looked at Maxie: "These orbs were created thousands of years ago by ancient people. They thought that with these orbs, they could control Groudon and Kyogre, but they were wrong! The Orbs were two powerful beyond the ancient people's wisdom! The ancient pokemon were out of control and as they became more evil,so did the people who were using the orbs. That's why they were locked away, so there wouldn't be a repeat of what happened thousands of years ago!" Maxie was very suspicous of this Member. "Just who are you anyway?" he asked, suspicously.

Team Rocket were hugging each other with fright from Kyogre's mighty storms. "If only we got blasted off somewhere else where we'd be happy!" cried James. "Im Happy-" said Meowth: "To be alive!"

May, Max and Brock had found Ash. They saw him from the outside through the hole in the ship. "Ash, how's pikachu?" asked Brock. "Not too good! He started going crazy and then jumped out the ship! I've got to get out of here!" Then Lance appeared and pulled off his disguise. "Lance! You're back!" yelled Ash. "Dragonite come on out!" he yelled, releasing Dragonite. "Dragonite! Dragon Claw!" Dragonite used dragon claw on the metal to release Ash. Lance flew up on his Dragonite and Archie ordered Kyogre to attack him. Lance dodged the attack and ordered his Red Gyrados to use hyper beam. "Kyogre! Show them a real hyper beam!" Yelled Archie. Kyogre shot a Hyper beam which stopped Gyrados's hyper beam. Then, Kyogre whipped up a Tsunami! "Oh no! It's a Tidal wave!" yelled Max.

Team Rocket were still yelling! "Meowth! Do something!" Yelled James. "I am!" screamed Meowth: "I'm freaking out!"

Lance flew back down to Ash and co. and told them to go with the others and stay safe. However Ash refused. "I not going to leave Pikachu! I'm going with you Lance! I'm not going to let them succeed! I'll carry on, even if I have to battle Kyogre myself!" "You wont be on your own!" replied his friends: "We'll help you too!" Lance agreed and told Max, May and Brock to get onto Gyrados's back. Then Ash got onto Dragonite.

Archie had bonded with the Red Orb and got blue patterns all over him! He was out of control!

The Tsunami washed the abandoned Aqua ship onto shore, where Team Rocket were. They remembered that Groudon was on there and decided to steal it. They saw it through a glass window and James said, "What happens if it does the same as the other one?" "Dont worry, Mewth has a plan!" said Meowth: "What we do, is that we release our pokemon and make Kyogre real mad! Then it'll whip one of those super Tsunamis! It'll wash us back into the sea and we'll have Groudon and a submarine!" "That sounds like a great idea!" replied Jessie. Suddenly, Pikachu jumped onto the cliff, with the red patterns on him, going crazy. "What is that Pikachu doing," said Maxie, as everyone approached the sub. Team Rocket turned around to see pikachu. "There's are little pikachu!" said Jessie. "Well its not ours yet!" replied James. Pikachu then shocked the cloud and immense lightning came down and covered the ship. Groudon's eyes opened. "Oh oh, somethings happened with Groundon!" yelled Ash. Pikachu then jumped into the electrfied sub! "Pikachu!!!!!!!" screamed Ash. A volcano erupted on the island as Groudon appeared and it walked through the lava to where Kyogre was. Ash and co. ran over to it. Pikachu then jumped onto Groudon's head. "Pikachu! He's alright!" sighed Ash with relief. Kyogre made another Tsunami! "Oh no! This time its bigger than the last one!" yelled Max. "This time, Kyogre is not just going for us, but for Groudon too and it'll swallow up the whole island!" said Lance.

Groudon, however was collecting sunlight and attacked the wave with solarbeam, which destroyed it! "What's happening?" asked Ash. "Groudon just saved the Island!" replied Lance. "So Groudon's helping us?" asked Ash. "Yes, and it used the blue orb to get pikachu to help it," replied Lance. Kyogre and Groundon were fighting! Kyogre attacked with hydro pump while Groudon attacked with Mud Shot, both attacks colliding and cancelling each other out. Groudon then attacked Kyogre with another attack and it went flying.

Archie was still laughing and the Red Orb slowly appeared out of his stomach and he was released of its power, falling off the helicopter and into the sea. The same happened to pikachu and he fell into the sea as well. Ash was on dragonite with Lance and he saw Pikachu fall into the sea. "Pikachu!" he yelled, diving in after pikachu. "No Ash!" cried Lance.

On land, Shelley had Archie in her arms. He woke up and Shelley said that everything was going to be fine.

Underwater, Ash swam after pikachu and grabbed him. Just then, Kyogre approached them and Ash screamed, thinking it was going to attack him. He was wrong. Kyogre brought Ash and pikachu back to the surface, with Ash on it's back. Lance flew over and told ash to get on Dragonite's back. Ash hopped on and Kyogre and Groudon stared at each other as the storm cleared. They then walked back into their homes. Groudon went back deep into the volcano and Kyogre swam back deep into the sea. Lance and Ash and co. then saw the orbs circle each other, accending into the air. Then they merged into one and exploded into a million pieces. "This shows that mother nature should never be controlled selfishly," explained Lance. "Will we ever see them again?" asked Ash. "Who knows?" replied Lance.
