On a roof in Pallet Town, a Dodrio crows as the sun rises. At Ashs house, his mom is outside in the garden, and Brock is inside making breakfast. Ash is still asleep. We see Mimie brush Ashs face with a duster. Then it does the same to Pikachu, who is startled and shocks Ash. His mom sees the blast of light coming through the window. Misty wakes up, and says it smells like Brock burned the eggs! Mimie sweeps the room, looking cute. Ash and Misty go downstairs, and Brock gives them their breakfasts.

Mrs. Ketchum asks if Ash would help her in the garden when hes done eating, since hes taking a break from training. ash says that he has lots of training to do! She asks where. Ash says that theyre going up to the mountains. Misty says that he didnt mention anything about that before! Ash tells her to play along, hell explain when they get outside! He, Misty, Brock and Pikachu go outside, where Mimie is, um, sweeping the grass in front of the house. Ash tells Brock and Misty that hed rather go up in the mountains than do chorse for his mom! Shed have him do so much work, he;d be too wiped out to battle in the Pokémon League! Brock says that she would make a great trainer. Mrs. Ketchum comes over with a large whellbarrow, and asks if Ash would go to the Xanadu Nursery and get three or four hundred pounds of fertilizer. Ash says he told them to Brock and Misty, and they all run.

They run until they reach the forest. Ash says that was close. Misty asks, whats that? They see a huge, dome-shaped greenhouse. Ash says thats the Xanadu Nursery, he and his mom used to go there all the time. He says hes surprised its still in business, the man who owned it moved away a long time ago. He wonders whos running it now. Brock looks in greenhouse, and says that there sure are a lot of trees, flowers, vines... Then he spots a pretty girl with purple hair, standing in a clearing. He runs up, and smashes against the glass. =) He says that girl is more beautiful than any flower! Ash goes to look, but he says he doesnt see a beautiful girl. Misty says to just turn around! Ash says that only one of them can hallucinate at a time.

Brock says he saw her right in that clearing! Ash looks but all he sees is a Gloom stepping out from behind some bushes! He says Brock is getting misty over a Gloom? Misty asks if hes saying anything about her, and starts, um, pulling on his mouth. Then, a guy asks what theyre doing there. They see a guy with long brown hair in a ponytail, holding some weird nozzle, with a hose that goes to a pack on his back. Ash says that they werent doing a thing! Brock says to be careful. Misty says he has a flamethrower! Ash says dont shoot! But, it turns out its only something to water the plants. =)

They go inside. The guys name is Potter, and he works there. He says trainers like to visit because their Grass Pokémon love it. Ash sends out his Bulbasaur, and asks if it wants to look at the flowers a stuff. Bulbasaur runs off, and everyone follows except Brock. He asks Potter about the girl he saw. Potter says it must have been Florinda. He goes into a trance and sdays what a beautiful name for a wife!

Ash, Pikachu and Misty come to a patch of white flowers. misty says theyre pretty. Ash asks whered Bulbasaur? they lookto see it sniffing some plants. It sniffs some white flowers. It gets a weird, dreamy look on its face, and looks like it blushing. It walks over to Ash, and starts rubbing against his leg. Then it collapses. Misty sees a sign, it reads: Pokénip. This plant affects Pokémon the way Catnip affects cats." (Hehe, Bulbasaur is high!) Bu;basaur goes over to some other plants. Ash says to take it easy. Bulbasaur sniffs the plants. It gets a surprised look on its face, and faints! Ash runs over, and says what kind of plants are these? Hes about to smell them when a womans voice says to stop, and not to sniff those plants!

On a ramp above them, its the girl Brock saw before. Florinda says that that is Stun Stem, and is anyone smells it, they become paralyzed! Ash says that Bulbasaur smelled it! Florinda tells a Gloom next to her to take Bulbasaur into the house. It tries to pick up Bulbasaur, but obviously cant, and Ash helps it.

In the house, Bulbasaur is lying on a table, and everyone is there. Some weird nectar comes out of the things on Glooms head, and drips into Bulbasaurs mouth. Bulbasaur is cured, and gets up! Florinda says its a good thing Gloom has been tending the Stun Stem for so long. Its built up a strong resistance, and created that antidote! Ashs Bulbasaur should be fine now. Ash says thanks, and Bulbasaur goes over to Gloom. They say something to each other, and they both start blushing. Bulbasaur nuzzles Gloom, and tickles it with its vines. Misty says it looks like theye having a great time. Ash says its great that two Grass Pokémon have so much in common. Misty says that theyre not the only ones, seeing Brock and Florinda out on the balcony.

Florinda tells Brock how the nursery has been in her family for generations, and now she has to run it. But she says shes a failure! She cant even raise Pokémon right. She tried to evolve her Gloom, but it couldnt. She says that if she cant even make her Gloom evolve, how can she run a huge nursery? Brock asks if shes taught Gloom any attacks, and she says a few, but she says her Gloom deserves a better trainers, and her parents deserve a better daughter! Potter says that she tried. She got a Leaf Stone to evolve Gloom, but it didnt work! Florinda says that its all her fault Gloom cant evolve because she hasnt given it enough love. Brock says that its because she loved Gloom so much, it never became gloomy! (Which makes NO sense...) She says maybe.

Then, Prof. Oak comes in, a picks up the Leaf Stone. He says this has nothing to do with love, the Leaf Stone is fake! Ash asks what hes doing her. Oak says that he heard that come con artists were selling conterfeit evolution stones, so he decided to investigate. Brock asks Florinda what the people who sold her the stone looked like. She says that there was a guy with hair short like this (puts her hands up on her bangs, and the illusion of James hair appears) and a girl with big hair like this (puts her hands behind her head, and an image of Jessies hair appears) and a Meowth who could talk! Ash, Brock and Misty all says that it was Team Rocket!

Out in the bushes, Team Rocket is hiding. Jessie says to prepare for trouble from the girl with big hair like this! She jumps out of the bushes, and James says to make it double, from the guy with short hair like this, and also comes out. He asks if his hair looks okay, and they say their motto. Meowth says that they should get out before the girl finds out the stone was fake. James says that they cant pass up a chance like this! There has to be rare Pokémon there! They look around, and Jessie spots the Stun Stem, and comes up with a plan.

In the house. Florinda says she cant believe Team Rocket tricked her, but they might of well have, because it just proves she isnt smart. She starts crying, saying shes useless. (Jeez, this girl has -154 on the self-esteem scale) Brock says that hell get her a real Leaf Stone! Ash says not to promise that, Brock doesnt even know where to get them! Brock then tells Florinda that hell find Team rocket and get her money back. Ash says he doesnt know where they are, either. Misty says that Team Rocket usually finds them.

Just then, an alarm on a computer goes off. Potter says that someone is stealing plants, and Team Rocket appears on the screen, taking the Stun Stem. Florinda says that theyre the ones who sold her the stone! Misty puts a blanket over Togepi, who had fallen asleep, and says she told them so. They all run out onto the ramps above the ground. Everyone except Florinda goes down on the ground. Florinda tells Team Rocket to stop, the plants are like children to her! James says look, and Jessie says its another unsatisfied customer! Brock asks how low they can get. Jessie says that they had decided to turn over a new leaf. James says but it was fake, and they both laugh. Brock says thats not funny, and they need a Grass Pokémon like Bulbasaur since this is a green house.

Ash tells Bulbasaur to use Vine Whip, to tie up Team Rocket. It does, but they just laugh. James says that any second, theyll be saved by their secret weapon! Brock asks what weapon! There is a long pause, and then Jessie and James scream what;s taking Meowth so long?! Behind them, Meowth is wearing some weird outfit and a fake mustache, and grinding the plants with a mortor and um, not sure what its called. He says you shouldnt hurry ancient herbal secrets. He says that he has crafted a ball in which to stun them! Meowth throws a ball at Ash and the others, a red powder comes out. Florinda says not to breathe in, its Stun Stem! But everyone is paralyze, and Team Rocket is released.

Jessie takes the paralyzed Pikachu, and says that she always knew Ash was too weak to be a Pokémon trainer. Brock says that Florinda has to fight them with her Gloom! She says it cant, she hasnt trained it well enough! She says shell go get some of her healing herbs. Ash says dont, Team rocket will run off with Pikachu! Brock says not to run. She still says she cant! Brock says she has to. After a long pause, which should have given Team Rocket plenty of time to run away, Brock says he knows she can. She finally says she will, and sends Gloom. It jumps down from the ramp.

James says that they can beat that wimpy weed. He and Jessie send Arbok and Weezing. Arbok uses Toxic, and Weezing uses Smog. Florinda comes down from the ramp, and says that Gloom cant battle! (Because she hadnt told it to attack!!!!) Brock says not to give up. There has to be some attack Gloom is good at. Florinda tells Gloom to use Double Team. Gloom starts glowing, and lots of Gloom start surrounding Team Rocket as Gloom moves really fast. Arbok and Weezing bump into each other, covering Team rocket in poison smoke. Gloom stops.

Brock says it worked! Now Florinda can win with a stronger attack! Florinda asks if she should try Solar Beam. Brock says she taught it the most powerful Grass Pokémon attack?! Florinda asks if she shouldnt of. She saw it in a magazine, and thought shed give it a try. (Doesnt Gloom learn it on its own?) Brock says he just hopes it works. Florinda tells Gloom to use Solar Beam. Glom starts gathering solar energy, and the smoke clears from around Team Rocket.

Pikachu bites Jessie, and jumps to safety, on Bulbasaurs back. Gloom fires the Solar Beam. A HUGE beam of light comes from the things on its head. (Makes Bulbasaurs Solar Beam looks like a flashlight...) Team Rocket is send crashing through the roof of the greenhouse, and they blast off again. Florinda asks if that was okay. Brock says that was okay! Prof. Oak says that was the most impresive Solar Beam hes ever seen! Potter says that was great. Bulbsaur gets up, and starts licking Gloom on the face.

Later, outside the greenhouse. Gloom and Bulbasaur are nuzzling each other. Cute! Brock comes out, and says they all took Glooms antidote, and are fine now. Florinda says that shes amazed how strong Gloom is! Brock says its because of all the love she gave it. Its so powerful, she doesnt need to evolve it. Florinda thanks him, saying that now she believes in herself enoguh to run the nursery. But not without a certain special guy. Brock, thinking she;s talking about him, turns around, and begins babbling about how sudden this is, and how great it is, and that he will be happy to run the nursery with her! He turns around, but Ash is there. He asks who Brock is talking to.

Florinda is over by Potter. (Duh!) She asks if Potter would run the nursery with her. She tells Potter that she loves him. He says he loves her, too, and was afraid to tell her. Brock falls over, and says how she was his one true love, and hell never meet another girl like her! Ash says there will be plenty of girls to reject him! He says they should get some flowers for his mom. Misty says he still hasn;t done any training, the tournaments are less thatn two months away! He says theres always tomorrow!
