 According to the narration, Ash is still 10 years old.
 Ash has been slightly redesigned for the first time since the anime started.

WOW this season has a completely different feel to it. I'm just now watching the first episode and it feels like I'm watching a Pokemon movie. It's an entirely different style than the past seasons of the anime.
