They think it's all over, it is now....well, maybe

According to Palette the 5th season in Japan, which will be the 6th when it is dubbed, will be ending on November 14th, at episode 276. The new series, Advance Generation will begin the following week, although it is not yet fully known whether or not the original characters will star in it. If the picture posted here a few months ago, featuring Ash, Brock, and a new girl is anything to go by, we'd say yes, but it still has not been proven genuine.

Further more, it is also not known if Jessie, James, and Meowth will have major roles (if any) in this new series. Some would say no, as in the episode "Team Rocket and Delibird", which will be part of the new Master Quest series, it is revealed that JJ&M no longer appear on the database of TR personel. They then have to prove they are TR members to remain on the team, but so far (and with only a few episodes of the series left to go) they have been relatively unsuccessful.
