Saturday the 19th of October 2002, the date that would go down in History. Only then, would Pokémon Live premier in Britain. Alas, this will no longer happen.Ticket Master confirms that the Brighton Centre in "Dr Brighton" (as Bill Deedes would say) will not be "doing" it, as does the websites of Nottingham Ice Centre and Newcastle Telewest Arena for their respective venues.
Ticket Master reckons that the two Carling Apollo theatres in Manchester and Birmingham are still doing it, but being the cynics we are, we'd say the chances of turning up to a large crowd of Pokémon fans screaming at their animated idols would be rated as "slim to none".
If you've bought tickets, you can claim a refund by contacting the place you bought them from.
What's the reason for these cancelations? The websites all claim "unforseen circumstances", which when put through a translater results in "didn't sell enough tickets". This theory would also explain the massive 5 months delay from the original date of May!
Stay tuned to PUK for news on the remaining venues- and any other Pokémon news for that matter.
