As we slowly start to expect to be playing RS on an obscurely shaped piece of machinery with buttons either side of the screen, Nintendo ruin the last Christmas for millions.

We're you one of the doubtlessly hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions who got a Game Boy Advance for Christmas?
I believe the technical term is "doing a Microsoft". What you see above you is the redesigned Game Boy Advance SP- a 3"x3"x1" flip top, back lit GBA that's about half the size as the old model. As well as running on a rechargable mobile phone style battery, looking like a mobile phone, and being the colour of a mobile phone, this doesn't make phone calls.
There are no technical advantages over the old model, so there really is no point upgrading.
To be honest, we are lost for words- a mixture of interest (admit it, despite being a step back in terms of ergonomics, it looks cool) and a feeling of hatred for those idiots at Nintendo- who cleverly didn't announce it until just after Christmas.
