Game Freak Preseident, Tsunekazu Ishihara has confirmed that a third version of Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire is in development.

The President has not let success go to his head, however, he only claims this next game is neccessary because of the massive success of the other games. We're not complaining.

In the same interview, he also confirmed that Game Freak are making a Gamecube RPG.

Could this game see a return of many features that were lost in the transition to the GBA- such as the mobile telephone ("it was soooo close!"), and one hundred-odd Pokémon? It wouldn't surprise this writer if the new game had some previously unobtainable old Pokémon in it. It would surprise this writer, though, if in fact the cartridge was made out of jam.
