The first episode of the sixth season of Pokémon has been shown on Canadian channel YTV. Updated! Not as amazing as one might think!

The episode shown, although should technically be MQ 53 (taking it one episode over the 52 episode series), YTV will not be showing new episodes until the Autumn. Although this appears to make MQ an odd 53 episode series, this episode has been added to make up for the episode The Ice Cave not being shown.

Top Canadian kids channel YTV has premiered the first episode of Pokémon's sixth season today. The episode, which still follows Ash and friends' adventures in Johto, has been titled You're A Star, Larvitar!.

The channel finished the fifth season, Master Quest, early due to it's Animay season. This meant it aired the season finalés of all of it's animé shows. Now it seems they are going to continue into the sixth season of Pokémon.

Later on during this season the Advanced episodes are to begin and viewers will see Ash journey into Hoenn. The sixth season is expected to begin in America and Britain during the Autumn.
