The Pokémon Center in New York will be selling the remake of the original Pokémon games a few days earlier than everyone else.

This Saturday, the 28th of August, Pokémon Center NY will be throwing another party at 12pm. The party will be "caught" (in a manner of speaking) at 6pm when the store closes. The party is in aid of the fourthcoming launch of Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green- remakes of the original Pokémon games. The games arn't on general release in America until September 9th- the 28th anniversary of the death of Chairman Mao, but visitors to Pokémon Center NY will be able to get their hands, feet and any other part of their body on it on Saturday, but please, use other parts of your body in private.
Warning! This is a one day only thing! If you miss it on Saturday, you're going to have to wait for an agonizing two weeks (ish).
The party itself will have an "MC" who will be "laying down some beats" in a stage show. You'll also be able to meet Pikachu, Meowth and Charmander- unfortunately, Piloswine can't make it as she's washing her hair.
You'll also be able to take part in a video game or TCG tutorial. The traditional bull-run doesn't look like it'll be taking place this time, because last time, the New York Times bizarrely labelled it as "slightly dangerous".
Sounds like it's going to be a laugh- if you're going, take a digital camera and take some pictures for us please! We'd go ourselves, but the nearest admin is approximately 3000 miles away.
