According to the BBC's news programme for young people, Newsround, has claimed in its lunchtime bulletin that research suggests kids over the age of 8 know more Pokémon names than animals. It makes you wonder two things- don't analysts and staticians have anything more worthwhile to do? Is this really true?OK, I admit I once mistook a Caterpillar for a Caterpie, but it only happend once. I'll end this short piece of news with a quote from newsround's presenter who's name I am unaware of, "Metapod and chums may be just a craze, but I think animals will be around for a while yet" (or something like that). Something else interesting to note is the "library" footage they used during the article showed Pokémon Green!

I also saw a news report about Pokemon cards being banned in some Israeli schools because the element symbols in the corner were considered anti-Semitic.
