Japanese magazine CoroCoro (formed when Coro merged with Coro) has some new information about the Gamecube follow up to Pokémon Colosseum - click more for loads of screenshots and verbal abuse.

Listen, you skanks, Pokémon XD is the name of the new game. The XD stands for "Xtra Dimension". Not wanting to sound pedantic and correct our Nintendo overlords, but shouldn't that be "ED"?

Thanks to Jelmer, we've got scans of the relevant magazine pages. So, thanks to him for everything you see here. Jelmer, we'd send you money if we wern't so stingy and Psythor didn't want to buy a new desktop PC.

What we see here is a game that looks nearly identical to Colosseum- even including dark Pokémon, and excitingly, a dark Lugia. Apparently this has a lot to do with the plot. Does the recurrence of dark Pokémon suggest that earlier speculation about XD being a "full" RPG, with long grass and everything, was wrong?

According to Jelmer, you start the game with an Eevee, and your helper this time is your sister, Mana. It also looks like Munchlax will appear at some point- although I'll wager not as a catchable Pokémon.
