There's so much news here I'm going to divide it up into subsections, so as not to confuse myself.

Movie 8

A new movie trailer has been released online! Below are some screenshots from it, but if you'd like to watch it directly, then click here!

The trailer merely confirms appearances by Bonsly, Manyula, Rukario and The Three Regi's. But we knew all that, anyway.

Pokemon XD

Regarding Pokemon XD, a couple of scans have appeared in the latest edition of Japanese magazine Corocoro, which merely give a few pictures and reveal a couple more snaggable Pokemon (including Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres!). Click here to see the first scan and here to see the second scan!

Furthermore, XD (which is due out to the Yank's on October 3rd), will get a lovely gift if they preorder the game after August 28th (that's my birthday eve, in case you were wondering) - a wonderful new skin for their Gamecube, which can be seen by clicking here!.

Pokémon Ranger - The Path to Diamond and Pearl!

This new game/anime thing was also revealed in Corococo. It's supposed to be a game which synchronizes with the new Anime series, but this is unconfirmed, so just be excited that it's something new. It'll be released some time in 2006.

Diamond/Pearl Information

And lastly, some slightly exciting information in regards to the first Pokémon generation to hit the DS - Diamond and Pearl. Corocoro confirmed the following information:

They'll be released in Japan in 2006, meaning us Europeans might get them around the same time London hosts the Olympics.
D/P will be compatible with R/S/E and FR/LG. Wootness!
The games will be set in another new region.
The games will use the DS's wireless features to support up to 16 players (which is funny, since I have trouble finding one person to battle with, never mind 15).
There will be more pre-evolutions and evolutions of already-discovered Pokémon, including the ones we already know of.
There will be no more new types, but there will be new type combinations, such as Rukario's Steel/Fighting types.

And I think that's it all. I'm going off to get excited about the upcoming Harry Potter book, but not before I give credit to Jelmer for pretty much all the images used here. Woo.
