Yours truly, Angelic Lapras King, went to the Pokemon Summer Camp event in Brent Cross today. Here's what happened:Brent Cross. Not the first time I ve been there, as there was a Celebi Download event around 6 years ago. So here I was again then. Same place, same event of sorts, same store (Toys R Us).
Once again, the event was held outside. Last time, theyu had a track with all the stuff and this year they have a big tent for, erm, everything. Wasps were praticely everywhere, not good when you hate em. So anyway, spent most of the time queuing. Took over an hour to get a Mew (I had one already, but what the hey!) and about 30 mins to an hour for a go on Battle Revolution, which by the way is great. Everyone was really into it and was loving it. I won my battle, thanks to my handy Lapras, though people wondered why I chose the female player on my game. o.o
Battles meanwhile went well, 4 victories and 2 loses. Did not meet any PKMN.NETers, but met and battled lots of lovely people. I even battled this girl with her face looking like a Meowth. Mary I think her name was (Well, on her game anyway), but I registered her in my Pal Pad so score! lol.
Costumes, lots of people dressed up (Or cosplaying if you prefer) such as Pikachu and other DP Pokemon I still have not memorised the names of perfectly. Even a couple both dress in Team Aqua and Magma costumes that looked great!
Other things included a goodie bag with sickers, posters etc. and a TV showing the anime. Only early Battle Frontier episodes, so no DP anime just yet (But they did show Wheel of Frontier, so Rex would be happy. Oooish! XD). Very good event that I enjoyed and can't wait till the next! =D
No pictures I m afraid because bring a GBA, a DS and 2 games along you fear you ll get mugged on the way there or back. Instead, I drew the event for your entertainment, so enjoy!
