Nintendo have announced a new Pokémon game for the Wii that will be downloadable through the forthcoming Wiiware service.

This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.

Today Nintendo announced a heck of a lot of titles for their Wiiware service (That's downloading games rather then going to the shop to buy them. What an age we live in...) and as well as Dr Mario Wii and Final Fantasy being annonced, a Pokemon title was annonced for it.

Pokemon Bokujou (Which translates as Pokemon Ranch) lets you transfer those Pokemon you have on your Diamond and Pearl games onto your Wii and lets you raise them in a Farm like environment. From the screenshots, it looks like your Miis get in with the action. While the Pokemon don't look too impressive, you have to remember this is a Wiiware title.

No release date or prise has been announced yet, but we ll report that once we get it.

The pokemon styles are terrible but it seems like a good idea, like viva pinata or harvest moon for wii.
