The 9th Film's Success, a new end theme and Ash fanservice? UPDATE 01/01 The 10th Movie's Box Office Performence!

A bunch of news stories regarding the anime.

First off, the 9th movie, Pokemon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy (Or better known as Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea everywhere else) has performed quite well in the Animated DVD Total Sales in 2007 for Japan, 18th best selling to be exact, with 4.3 million copies sold. Considering how many animated DVDs are released in the home of anime, thats pretty good.

The final snippet of news is that there is a new end theme coming for the TV Show. The new theme,'Kaze no Message' (Message of the Wind) will be sung by Mai Mizuhashi (Famous for singing opening and ending songs from the Kamisama Kazoku anime series.) and will be part of DP Episode 62 and onwards. The episode, named Miltank of the Maid Cafe, will air on the 10th January (Mind you, the episode could easily be called the fanservice episode, as it has the characters dressing up as maids, even Ash gets into a maid outfit disturbingly...)

UPDATE 01/01

Speaking of Pokemon Movies doing well, it seems the 10th movie (Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai) made number 1 at the Box Office for top grossing anime movies of 2007 in Japan! The film earnt over 5 Billion Yen (That's 40 Million in American money), topping even the likes of the new Evangelion, Naruto and One Piece movies!

Guess there's still life left in anime yet.
