As a part of the Pokémon Festa celebrations in Japan, a new trailer of Pokémon Platinum has been released! Impressive eh!
This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.
What's that? Oh you're more interested in the new information we learn from said video? Fine, be like that.
- The game starts differently. More action, more quickly, to phrase it terribly.
- The Battle Tower and Battle Factory both return.
- It is now possible to send mail over the GTS. You know, just in case email is too quick for you.
- You face a double battle against Volkner and Flint at some point in the game, so another huge change in storyline is practically confirmed. Not that we ever doubted that, mind.
- New mini-games! These involve something resembling Whack-A-Wobbuffet and controlling a Mime Jr. who is trying to balance on a ball. Fun all the way it seems.
- Lastly and most excitingly - confirmation on the recent silhouettes which I'm sure you all know about. These were not posted here since we didn't see the point in posting images of which there was no evidence suggesting they were legit or not, but now we know they're real, we'll link to something you've already seen anyway. Woo, here you go.
The next edition of Japanese magazine-fantastic CoroCoro is out shortly, during which all this is likely to be confirmed as well as some lovely new images. Watch this space for scans!

Dude, it's just the 3rd version. Of course you get the same bloody Pokémon.
i was thinking the rotom thing too as soon as i saw it, then i fought castform? but it seems he already has enough forms, then i was thinking how bout they be new legands!! that be so kewl ^^ but one of them look like they have 2 pikachu tails, cant they just be like statues or something?
wait, after looking... black a pre evo of corphish? yellow evoltion of chimecho, then brown a pre evolution or evoltion of spiritomb and dark blue one pre evo or evoltion of rotom, and i dont know about the light blue one, all i can think is evoltion of corsola? then i began thinking, how bout all those are new regi's? (unbeleivable, but may be)
I suppose it'll be at least a year before we can get platinum. Oh well....
It looks pretty impressive though, but I do wish they would improve the battle graphics and make them 3D or something. Its been the same format and idea since the original games
I say keep 3D to the likes of Stadiums and Colosseum/XD. I'm quite content with the 2D battles, and it leaves more to the imagination.

Those silhouettes.. one appears to have arms made of Pikachu tails, another with Squirtle tails, and another with Krabby claws o.o
don't know what they are, but they're certainly bizarre.
Volkner and Flint double battle? Awesome. Maybe that's what Volkner's left Sunnyshore to do - help Flint out at the E4?
i think the silhouettes are just different forms of rotom. rotom came from a tv and all these others seem to look like they could be some sort of household appliance that a little ghost could haunt

I love it when they take an already great game and cram it full of more replay value!
Oh and one of those sillhoettes looks like a set of bagpipes. Is there going to be an evil, more deadly enemy than team galactic, the scottish?!
i dont see what they can do with a sorta top (black one iirc), a thing with paper clip hands, and random crap like that...
to be even more straight to the point, THESE. AREN'T. POKÉMON.
