And don't forget to buy the DVD, which is out today!

FINALLY, as Ash would say (If you ve seen the film, you ll get the joke). So picture this, I entered the competition to the Rise of Darkrai screening in London, thinking I would not win at all. 2 days before the screening, I receive an e-mail saying I ve won tickets to the London screening. So I m then rushing about begging to borrow money off my parents (Since I did not get paid till the week after) and asking a few friends and PKMN.NET-ers if they would like to come.
Sunday the 28th, early start since the film was starting at 10:30am (Doors opened at 10am). Met up with fello PKMN.NET-er Xagor, who was the only one who could make it (Again I apologize for being a bit quiet Xagor. My brain doesn't function so well in the mornings). Just before 10am, the queue began to form. Mostly kids with their parents, but I didn't mind since it brought back memories of seeing the first 3 movies at the cinema. A celebrity showed up too! No, not Satoshi Tajiri or a voice actor, just Pikachu. Personally, I would of preferred a Lapras or even Anabel.
Doors open. The cinema folk gave away goodie bags, which had a poster, one of those Pokeball things with a figure in them (Mine was Buizel), a pack of promo cards (Spinda and Burmy for me. Not proper promo cards mind) and a leaflet explaining the Darkrai download. Speaking of which, once in our seats, Darkrai was on offer to download, which was exactly the same one they gave away at the Woolies stores recently, so no Membership Pass at all for us UK folk (Unless you bug Mikey for one).
After a brief introduction from a girl with a microphone, the film began. It was so nice to see a Pokemon film on the big screen again, which is a shame because these films were made for the big screen, not a direct to DVD case. I had previously seen the film after importing the DVD, but the film just seemed so much better on the big screen. They did have the sound on really loud though.
After the film, the DVD was available to buy (Which I hope all of you did buy today). Afterwards, we headed to Orbital Manga, which some of you might recall from previous PKMN.NET Meets, to buy a Manga with the last of my money (Tsubasa Vol 5, since I had a head time finding it in any local Waterstones stores) and then headed home.
All in all, a very enjoyable day out. I wish to thank Network for arranging the screenings and reminding me of the good old days for cinema Pokemon outings and Xagor for attending the showing with me. I certainly hope Network considers doing something like this next year for the next movie.
Good job Network!
