Yes, this is yesterday's news. I consider my revision slightly more important. Only just though.

The often forgotten but totally superior to Mystery Dungeon series of Pokémon spin off games, Pokémon Ranger, is thrillingly getting a third incarnation for the DS!

Pokémon Ranger - Tracks of Light (or ポケモンレンジャー 光の軌跡 if you speak gibberish) will be released in Japan on 6th March 2010 according to the lovely people at CoroCoro.

• The game will be set in the Oblivia, which sounds like a mix of Olivia and Oblivion.
• The evil team are the Pokémon Nappers, led by someone called Red Eye who wants to take photos of all the Pokémon, complete with the infamous "red eye" effect you get on photos, to upload to a Facebook account photo album. (No not really)
• There's a multiplayer mode, thrillingly.
• You get to ride Raikou, Entei and Suicune at some point.
• There is a Ranger Sign feature, where you can call Pokémon from wherever they are in the wild to come and help you. You do this by drawing their special sign.
• There's a Pichu carrying a Ukulele. No, really.
• You can download some sort of secret Deoxys. Which does something special. Apparently.
