While most of Europe has rushed to the shops and is now walking around with their PokéWalkers on their belts, the Dutch will have come home disappointed from their trip to the shops.
Due to a bug, all Dutch language HeartGold and SoulSilver games have been recalled. When playing pre-release versions of the game, gamers encountered a blue screen when starting it. Not even a title screen shows up. Instead, a blue screen appears indicating saved data cannot be accessed.
As this clearly makes the game unplayable, Nintendo Benelux has recalled all games, even though not all of the games manufactured have shown this problem. A new release date for the games is as of yet unknown, but we expect Nintendo to announce it soon.
This recall happens in all Dutch-speaking parts of Europe - both the Netherlands and the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium. The French-speaking Belgians are in luck - they still get to play their brilliant new games.
We will try to keep you informed of further developments. PKMN.NET's updates will not be affected - sometimes imports do have their benefits.
