Pedantics would point out this is day 3, and they're probably right. Spoilers as always.

4 pm update:

Rotom's second type changes with its forms. Unlike HGSS/DPP it losses the Ghost type and changes to match the form its in. Yes. The Ghost Type. I don't know why either.

Lets have a look at the Elite Four then:

This scary but charming lady is Shikimi, is your first opponent, and she specializes in ghost types. She is said to use: a Level 48 Desukan, Level 48, Burunkeru Level 48, Goruggo Level 50 Shanderaa.

Dark type trainer Giima is next, with a level 48 Zuruzukin, level 48 Warubiaru, Level 48 Reparudasu and a level 50 Kirikizan.

Psychic-Type using Katorea is next. Rankurusi, Level 48, Musharna, Level 48, Shinborah Level 48 and Gochiruzeru, Level 50. Apparently, she has a strong resemblance with the Frontier Leader, Caitlin (The one who's butler does all the battling) in Plat/HGSS. Mmmm.

After that you're at the head of the Elite Four with Renbu. Nageki Level 48, Dageki, Level 48, Roopushin, Level 48 and Kojondo Level 50.

Finally, it may or may not be true that your childfriend Belle has somehow made the Championship. Level 66 Muurando, Level 66 Yanakki, Level 66 Musharna, a Level 70 Enbuoo/Joroda/Daikenki. The starter she picks at the game, which would be the one that type wise is, 'weak to yours'. But this seems to be a rumour right now.

UPDATE: Seems this is false and Belle is not the champion. it is actually Adeku but you don't actually get to fight him first time round because of an event by N that disrupts your leauge challange.

Elite Four rematches are possible, with higher levels as always. Old Pokemon and even a 'new'(depending if the rumours of Belle are true or not) Champion! Adeku!

Team: L75 Agirudaa , L75 Buffalon, L75 Kurimugan, L75 Baibanira, L75 Shubarugo, and L77 Urugamosu

After beating the Elite Four things supposed to 'change' in the region.

Very strangely Shinnoh Champion Cynthia appears in the game after the Elite Four in the Spring and Summer only and you can battle her as much as you want. Her team is a Spiritomb, Milotic, Lucario, Wargle and Shibirndon all level 75 with a level 77 Garchomp.
After the Elite Four you have an additional quest to 'find the seven sages' who presumingly will ~~Help you get to Ganon's Castle~~ battle you.
Fossils of Purotoga and Aken are found in the Rizoodo Desert, accessible after you've beaten the third gym leader and revived in Shippou City.
You get a Bike in Raimon City
You can trade Churine or Monmen for an in-game character's Monmen or Churine, depending on what version you have. These are in-game exclusives which is nice.
For whatever reason your trainer card has a nature.
You receive a Master Ball from Professor Araragi at some point in time and a Lucky egg AND tips how to get your hair as crazy as hers. (One of these might be false.)

You can use Dive to reach the Seabed Ruins with strange scripture.
Turtwig, Chimchar or Piplup are downloadable with a different ability from normal if you've bought the TCG promo Journey Partner. A special code will be given and you can download either of them.
Pidgey, Wurmple, Rhyhorn, Gastly, Starly, and Shinx are in White Forest at Level 5 after you've beaten the Elite Four.
Reshiram and Zekrom are both caugh at level 50. Their abilties TurboBlaze and TeraVoltage both allow User to attack and damage Foe, regardless of ability. I was hoping for something a bit more intresting. :[

N seems to be involved with them.
Looker is in the game! Perhaps this his native home..? We don't know. We don't care. All we know is we love Looker.
PC expands to 24 boxes after Elite Four

We have received further news regarding the Elite Four Rematches, along with their newly updated rosters.

Shikimi, the first Elite Four Member, now has Cofagrigus, Jellicent, Golurk, Froslass, all of which are at Level 71, and finally a Chandelure at Level 73.
Our Second Elite Four Member, Giima, now has a Sharpedo, Krokorok, Zebstrika, Drapion, Liepard which like Shikimi before him, are all at Level 71, with the signature Bisharp at Level 73.
Katorena now has a Musharna, Reuniclus, Sigilyph, Bronzong, Gothitelle, of which are all at Level 71, and a beastly Metagross at Level 73 completes the Third Elite Four Member's roster.
The Fourth and Final Elite Four member, Renbu, now has a Breloom, Swampert, Sawk Ferrothorn, Toxicroak, all of which are at Level 71, and Conkeldurr completes the change at Level 73.
