Look at this! Our beloved Rob gets a story for his birthday!

Dearest Rob,

After the rapturous reception of Rexâ€™s birthday poem here is a story for you using the long-lost art of shadow puppets:

There was once a man named Rob who on this very day turned 21. It was such a special moment that he got a visit from his fairy god-mother:

"Oh Robert my lamb," said the slightly deformed fairy that floated before him, "for you are now a man, I bid thee glad tidings of great joy".

Now Rob stood amazed and a smile grew on his face for he knew that where a fairy godmother appeared wishes would soon follow. So he shut his eyes and he squeezed his lids so tight so that he may imagine the adventures he could have on this cold winterâ€™s night.

Winter! Thatâ€™s it! He could wish to meet the great yeti of Al Shar Labeau. They would frolic and play and scare mountain goats with their childlike antics. However, Rob dismissed this as soon as this thought was conjured for what if he only received one? He would be stuck up a mountain with no hope of escape (he also realised there was no reason why the yeti would not eat him as soon as he attempted to hug it). Oh what a blow... what should he wish for?

His next choice was earthy and one that made him giggle with glee. A harem of women, yes that was for him.

For some unknown reason an owl got involved in the daydream and suddenly the idea of a harem was rejected... why? Because sometimes imaginations do very bad things... bad Rob... very bad Rob.

So he pondered whales and dinosaurs and all manner of things so the fairy got impatient and hit him on the head with her wand. "Look mate do you want your wish or what!" she said rather irately. Rob panicked and said the first thing he could think of...
