...and it's a free 3DSWare game released on June 6th.
This news item is more than 45 days old. Updates are unlikely and newer information may already be available.
Ever since the 3DS was launched we have pondered what the first Pokémon first game would be... and we know it to be Pokédex 3D.
From what has been revealed at Nintendo World Report we know that this free download will be available on Monday June 6th, will make use of the Augmented Reality and SpotPass Settings AND will feature rotatable 3D renderings of over 150 Pokémon.
Annoyingly enough only 16 Pokémon will be available from the start! The user will have to scan QR codes to unlock the remaining Pokémon with a maximum of 3 per day. Still, it's free so we can't complain too much.

Wow... just go on pokemon.com.
It won't be in 3D on the website. ;P
Excellent! Finally, a 3D CGI pokédex that you can carry around with you! Plus augmented reality... will we be able to see these pokémon in our real life settings?? Imagine being able to flush magikarp down your loo! *lol*
First thought in head: BORING
Eh... could have been better, but it's still kinda neat.
Cool can't wait to get this on June 7th because we get it a day later than USA because they get it on June 6th.
i think its pretty cool for a freebie! plus, if theyve made 3d models then you know the next pokemon game will in fact use them in battles! ;)
I HAVE NO 3DS!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...
Snowy, we get it same time... just happens to land on midnight which is 'technically' the 7th June. Just found out that the pokémon make sounds, move about and might even perform attacks. :D
